Do you want to watermark the images with Photoshop or are you looking for an option to watermark the images from your website?

If they are for online, I've got a very simple free script called Automark. It's here:

    http://www.jwrmedia.com/scripts/automark.html

You can just upload your images and your watermark will automatically be added to them. Also, you can specify images that contain a particular string in the name, ie. "_thumb", for them not to be watermarked.

Maybe that's what you're looking for.

or you can use imagemagick either client-side or server-side with a watermarking script to batch-edit a whoel ton of files allll at once.

Oh, I imagine you'd have to search google for that info, but since you've been unable to search these forums for the MILLION times it's been discussed here before, I'll post a link for ya:

    http://www.google.com

    hope this helps!

as for not being able to be removed - any photo can be retouched, and any skilled Photo-retoucher with Photoshop or the GIMP can remove unwanted 'blemishes' like your watermark without a trace - but they have to essentially paint over it to do it.

What I would recommend is either a small watermark or no watermark. Simply put enough of your branding on the image so that in 3 years when they find it on their hard drive and wonder where it's from they can get to your site. Anything beyond that is childish and shows a severe lack of professionalism.

If you don't want people to have it, don't put it online.

just start a new canvas, type some text that you want on the watermark, so you got a transparent canvas with some text on it and then go edit>define brush preset..

and it creats a brush for you, then just add the bursh to the image you want to watermark, and change the opacity settings.

    Hope that helps!

if you want to add a watermark to a folder-full of images instantly without having to open each one up - or if you are looking for software you can install on your server to watermark any uploaded images for you, check out ImageMagick.

It's free, open-source, runs on a variety of different platforms and can easily watermark and batch edit files.

    This thread is over.

I made a web 2.0 online watermark tool. Check it out. You might find it very useful. I'm still working on adding a lot of options to it, but I think you'll like it as it is already :)

    Its Free Online Watermark Tool

    Thanks,
