$234 donation??

Someone just donated $234 to my online dating site . I keep looking at it thinking it's some sort of trick, but it's there in my paypal account. Is this for real? I know people sometimes donate $10, $20, but has anyone received this large in a donation

The only explanation I can think of is someone very rich like met their wife off my site  All i know is i'm going to start to put a donation button on all my sites

Wow that's a lot of money, I wish someone would donate money to me for my services, but then again, I don't have a paypal button.

disgust, that's crazy $234+ I'm not surprised Shawn has, his website is USEFUL as all hell. He deserves those kinds of donations. I on the other hand wasn't even sure if people were getting together on my site. It's cool to know they are now, and a big motivator for me to do more work on that site.

The dirty side of my mind came with an explanation. Someone found on your site a date for a night or more and didn't have to pay for sex anymore. That's your share of his/her savings. :D

I don't know how anyone would find your site useful?

No offence but I just noticed that you've created um "fake" users that try n replicate your city.

Simple example, I am located in Mumbai, India right now.

    I visited a profile, http://www.cellitfree.com/user-2651.html

And "her" location is "Mumbai, United States"

As a honest opinion I think these sites should be shut down or sued.

You are playing with peoples emotions here!

tech86 i didn't create that profile. You can't have a successful business by scamming people. Now as for that profile in question, it's undoubtedly a scammer. I delete about 6 scammers a day, but only when they try to send out scam/spam.

You don't have to believe me, but just ask yourself this. Is a free site going to have a lot of scammers on it creating profiles? Yes, unfortunately, i mean the site is free. I've thought about having a $5 monthly fee just to keep scammers out.

You can guess that the donator got hooked up with your site. If someone found a partner from your site, I'm not surprised you got the donation, assuming they are rich.

Nice work there. Got anymore money since the first large donation?

Also the donation seems a bit weird, like $234, either somebody only had that in there account or they are being idiots. Wouldn't you round it off to $240?

I suppose it is a dating site :p

Nope, that's the only donation I have received from that site, sort of weird that the only one I've gotten is so big. And yea it's weird that it's 234. Like he just hit the keyboard 2-3-4.

Hey! I was going to place donation buttons on my new site which is aimed at users and will provide a worldwide service to them. When your goal is a million hits a day and you provide a good service for users then surely some people will donate to keep the good service going.

    Makes sense to me!!
