Quick follow-up. The cards have arrived. They're not exactly up to par, especialy when compared to my original draft, but they're pretty slick. Good enough for the time being, anyway. The mistakes were mine, not the printer's.

Do they pick up finger prints well? The shiny look of them reminds me of our business cards, and we have to wipe them clean before giving them out as they get covered in fingerprints.

Looks like you have the same fun we had with the white edges as well.

Aye. They do show fingerprints very well. I think I'm going to go in solid white next time with a high-contrast logo. I still don't regret these, though. They're pretty sweet.

I'm not a huge fan of the frog on the front. It just kind of looks like you have the frog image and went into photoshop>blending options> and messed with the satin feature, looks good though.

Where are the higher quality photos? I'd like a closer look at that foil.

I really like the splotchy splash design on your blog, you should think about using that on your next card :)

You're asking a graphic designer if he wants to employ a graphic designer?

When creating designs for print, use cmky color at 300 pixels/sq. inch resolution, 16 bit color and always save as a png 24 for a true 1 million color final design.

74 pixel is used for web. 300 for print. gif can only save up to 256 colors. jpg is a little better for designs without a transparent background. .png is a combination of how a gif and a jpg can be saved. a true 1 million colors and a png can also be used for motion graphics without quality loss as well.

I like the first example. Except the small white text needs to be larger. You really want people to notice your contact info. Plus the white might get messy with ink since it's so small.
