    Hi,

    I have a new site at http://www.successdept.com/ ans have noticed that is it running slow on various pages. Is this problem with joomla? If so, how can I spead it up?

    Looks all right to me? If it's on a shared host it could be other people's websites slowing you down now and again?

    Your site generates Xajax javascript errors.

    I use Joomla on several sites. They load just fine. The problem when a site hangs is usually with additional components. The Browser has to wait for these to load.

    So yes something is broken on your site.

    Yeh I also coded a Joomla based website and got some problems in weather modules because they slow down the load of the website... More modules more problems :)

    Joomla has a reputation of loading slow. With every site I have ever used joomla on, no matter what I did it would never load fast. Even on a VPS with over 800 megs of memory, joomla still loads slow. My first and only recommendation is to use drupal, wordpress, or some other CMS.
