redeveloped: Is this placement any good?

    Hi,

I have re-developed my site after it was hacked.
I have changed the design and layout and added a few different ads to the layout. Also let me know what you think of the blending or whether I should blend them more or make them stand out more etc. All ideas welcomed

Can you please tell me what you think of the general ad placement (Sometimes chitika shows so you may need to refresh or go to a different page).

Also on pages like http://mytipper.com/content/content/content.php?content.11 should I move the skyscraper advert to the left hand side instead?

    Article and content pages: http://mytipper.com/content/content/content.php?content.11

Thank you for your feedback and ideas.

Overall I think your site looks pretty good. A couple of things I would comment on...

    1. Use more white space, particularly on your home page. Things tend to run together too close, making it hard to really focus on one particular area. Maybe a little more padding to your content boxes(?)

    2. The ad placement, to me, seems good, however you might try to blend them in a little better, especially on the articles.

All in all, pretty nice though.

    Good Luck!

Sorry I wasn't more clear. On the article page is the one I was referring to.

First thing, I would add some padding between your article and the tower on the right. Secondly I would make the background of the google ad the same color as the background of the article.

I think the background color is pretty close, however I would definitely add the padding between the article and right hand tower.

Completely agree with that. The padding especially I didnt really notice it as much until you mentioned it.
I will add it all in after lunch. I am also going to look at changing the fonts to match google adsense

Do you guys have any idea what font google use?

The padding looks much better. It's definitely easier on the eyes with the padding.

I think you had the right idea in thinking of moving the skyscraper to the left. I think on Google's own page they say it gets better visibility there. You avoid ad-blindness.

Use the same bg color for ads as your Article page,
consider Using rectangle ad block insted of Tower.
Rectangle performs better than tower ads..
