I'm still in the process of pulling up this website and I have quite a bit of content. Can someone take a look at ad placement and recommend anything I should change. http://www.theloftcritic.com

I need opinions - This site is three sites in one -

the first subdomain is http://forum.loftcritic.com

the second subdomain is http://shop.loftcritic.com

totally irrelevant content that is pulling the most click pv http://www.theloftcritic.com/monetize.asp


What's cool is the domains all act as referrals to each other. Go Figure!

 

Good nichey (is that a word) idea.

Firstly, the "Choose a city" area needs to be filled with something. It looks really incomplete.

Bare with me on the rest. This is just brainstorming. For the homepage, remove the Ads by Google block. Move the Featured Loft block to where the Ads by Google block was. Move the Around Town block to where the Featured Loft block was. Blend some AdSense into your content (FL block).

For the content pages, they look good. Maybe put a link unit at the bottom of the content?

May also be useful to link select keywords within your articles to specific lofts or books in your store.

Thanks for the ideas. I will try to get some of the areas corrected on today. Then I can see how it goes from there.

 

I setup google adwords yesterday - (trying to gain more traffic) and I made 11 bucks yesterday on the first day. That's a far cry from pocket change I made before. Exposure and Marketing is everything.

 

$11.00 from affiliates for from AdSense or both? Is this gross or net?
