Hello, in my opinion u should remove the blue border around the top and left side adsense add and make it white. It will go a long way in increasing the CTR. Then u can place a 728 x 15 links unit on the top of the page.

Try placing a Large Rectangle somewhere in the middle of your site.
Somthing to fit perfect into your template, like a rectangle simillar with a featured profile.

You can use one more ad unit, use it whisely.

One more thing. A little picture next to your 468 x 60 Banner, I think it will help the clicking rate on this ad unit.

    Best regards

Why is the border needed so badly?

I think units look better if they just blend in. I try not to use any borders.

If you do not use any border it is against ADSENSE TOS. When one of my friends mailed google asking this matter they clarified by mentioning that it is necessary to have a visible border between your ads & images.

Do not play with fire.. Do place a border there.

Hello please read this email from Google:
    --------------------
    Hello xxxxxxx,
Thanks for your email. In general, you're welcome to place images near
the Google ads on your site.

    However, some implementations are not
permitted by our program policies, so we ask that you exercise some caution when choosing or placing the images.

To be specific, we ask that publishers not place misleading images near
Google ads or use images that appear to be directly associated with the
    advertisers and their offerings
. Such images may draw undue attention
to the ads and prompt unintentional user clicks, thereby artificially
inflating advertiser costs. As you may know, drawing undue attention to
ads is in violation of our program policies, so we're unable to approve
the placement of all images next to Google ads.

If you choose to experiment with placing images directly next to the
ads,I'd strongly encourage you to maintain a visible border around the ad
units to reduce the possibility of confusing users
    .

For additional questions, we suggest you visit our AdSense Help Center
at https://www.google.com/support/adsense . If you're unable to find an
answer to your question on our site, please feel free to reply to this
    email.

    -----------------------------------------------------

after reading this you can decide whether to place a visible border or not.

So to clarify, it isn't against the Adsense TOS to blend the borders, it just isn't advised...?
