Campaign reviews like adwords?

    Does yahoo have reviews on new campaigns before they begin generating impressions and clicks like adwords do?

    Im a bit frustrated at waiting for an adwords campaign to even begin working.

    Do yahoo do this too?

    Yes they do. Sometimes you need to wait for 7-10 days for stupid editorials to approve your campaign. But even your campaign is under review you see everything as "ACTIVE" on status. And you try to figure out if your campaign is showing or not. Totally BS editors and rules of Yahoo!

    This is really annoying, i cant see myself continuing with using PPC, this is not a practical way to do business.

    Its like opening up a new shop then putting a row of people across the shop entrance for 5 or 7 days stopping anyone from seeing what your selling.

    Its bizarre really, setting up campaigns then you have to wait till they are ready to be reviewed.

    As you say too, they dont even inform people properly of why something isn't running.

    They are totally out of mind. I have one account (not campaign) with a campaign inside. Everything written "ACTIVE". There is $300 inside. And i created it 25 days ago!!! And still has 0 impressions!!!

    Customer support dont reply. I called and wrote them many times.

    Yahoo = Funny guys!

    There is a tab "Editorial Status" or something like that, where you can see what's going on. Some keywords may be waiting approval or AdGroups... depends.

    I have had campaigns going live nearly straight away, others have had to wait a couple of days, especially over the weekend.

    Yes there is editorial status but however everything might be active and approved , your ads are not shown on search results. That's what i mean....

    Yahoo employees are making their company a big loser ...I think that is why Microsoft is not going to take over it. Enjoy google there is no competitor for you.

    not necessarily before they start to generate more impressions but they do come by and manually review them campaigns once in a while.
