Nice site, but I think you will earn more from google ads that showing sports cards ads and not hosting and domain registration ads.
For me hosting ads have a realy low click rate.

    Tyler,
I buy/sell/trade signed cards and photos, as well as the cards w/ "game used" peice in them. Also on my site, I have Rubik's information, and PC Help.

    Thanks for the comments.

ToBad, right now I'm working on getting relevant ads, it can be easier said than done. Have any tips to get more relevant ads, particularly on my homepage? Thanks

Maybe put more sports cards keywords in the meta keywords tag. You only have a few.

If you sell cards, then why are you displaying ads? I never understand why web sites that offer a service or product think they should place AdSense ads on their site.

    3hundred: I'll try that, thanks.

Tyler: I don't profit off cards at all, it isnt a service or product that I make money off of. It is more of a personal site. Cards/Rubiks are hobbies of mine, and they are listed. PC Help was info I learned and collected, and decided to share to help others. When I sell cards, the money almost always goes back towards buying other cards I want/need.

    Harmony,
Yes, that is my first attempt at getting relevant ads on my hompage. I also added somemore works to my meta-description. I don't understand why my homepage isn't showing relevant ads, while most of my other pages are.

I was told that <h1>, etc tags are where some of the "keywords" come from, so I figured I'd give it a try.

    My advice:
    * Get rid of the web counter, it looks nasty :p
    * Use section targeting! AdSense Section Targeting
The h1 and h2 tags only matter if they are near your adsense block.

Rudgedog: Thanks for your help. Does that section targetting really work? I'll put it up and take down the counter. Thanks again.

How new is your site? My experience has been that for a new site, relevant ads appear on internal pages immediately but the home page ads are not relevant until Google gets around to indexing the page. I have that issue on a site I just put online yesterday.

Yeah, section targeting works, although it may take a few days before you notice any changes. I am honestly kinda stumped about why your getting so many hosting ads. Your keywords/content looks fine.. I would just get rid of the web counter and keywords you added at the bottom of the page. Use section targeting, and add an h1 tag with "Sports Cards, Rubik's Cubes, and PC Help!" where it currently says "Welcome to P.J.K. Cards & Hobbies!". Refresh the page a few times after you make those changes and let us know what happens!

ahearn: The site is several months old, the ads are very new, so we have a similar problem. I have also noticed something odd, yesterday, when I put up the ads, I received quite a few quicks. Today, I am yet to receive a click, yet I received more hits today. That is wierd...

Rudedogg: I did what you said. Putting <h1> tags around it makes it look a little odd, however, I'll leave it there for a few hours. Will <h2>/<h3> tags have the same affect? I don't want text that large, it makes the page look wierd. Thanks for your tips, let me know if you have anymore. No changes yet, but it may take a bit. I read somewhere it said 1-2 weeks, but I am not going to learn that large text for that long.

I think the h2 or h3 tag will have the same affect, as long as no other text has h1. The page looks better, but you still have those hosting ads :| I'd give it a day to see if the h1/h2 tag change helped. The section targeting change will take awhile before it goes into affect. You might have to wait week(s) for it.

I've told you everything I would change, maybe someone else has some ideas...

    Best of luck! :D

    Very nice indeed.

Antique autographs would probably attract high-priced ads.

ainmohd: Thanks for your comment. I wish I had more "antique autographs". The only one I have that comes close would be the Mantle.
