I recommend you join their Site Explorer first. The quickest way to be indexed if your site follows the rules.

Just submit it... or get links to your site from a site that is already in the index.

I would like to suggest that you should popularize your sites on social bookmarking because its importance is related to SEO(Search engine optimization). Why? Because it’s the process for improving web visitors and quality of visitors to a site from search engines, using social bookmarking. I believe yahoo uses SEO, so if you are indexed by SEO you will be indexed by yahoo shortley. Have you good luck!

Still the best way to get indexed: manual submission. I doubt if Yahoo will automatically index your site if it's still new.

am not sure this is true. while an RSS feed will help those who subscribed to it get your new stuff and pages, I don't think it will help getting it indexed. Yahoo bots follow a crawling schedule or you may ask it to index your site after a few days or every week though using a robots.txt file.

    uhm... i don't think so.

i will agree with you that having your site on del.icio.us, twitter, even facebook and myspace could help your site's rankings, but it won't get indexed by yahoo that way. Manual submission is still the best way to get indexed. It takes about 3 weeks to 4 months, in the meantime setup your SEO campaign.

I beleive the things that you do to get good rankings on google will also get you ranked well on yahoo. However, I have read that yahoo cares more about how many backlinks you have, unlike google, which cares more about the QUALITY and relevance of the backlinks.

Also, I think yahoo is more worried about the keywords in the page title(s) of your site than google, but BOTH sites considering the page title to be a pretty big factor.

Use PPC (Yahoo Search Marketing) point to your URL. Yahoo will index your page quick than normal submit URL
