The best Social networking or dating script software is..... so you are thinking of starting a new dating or social networking website? before I tell you which one is the best, read below and be your own judge.

In the earlier days, a script specifically for dating was enough. But now days I would advice that if you are starting a dating or social network website, stay away from 'dating only' scripts. Because as your website grows, you will need to add features and believe me it will end up costing you an arm and a leg. The truth is that all these script/software writers want your money, and they too deserve to be paid for spending time writing these scripts/softwares.

However you have to watch out, many of them have become very greedy, and border on the line of being scam artists. Many of them sell you a script, then you have to pay extra for removal of 'their name branding'. It may cost you twice or thrice the amount you paid to just remove their name brand. That is if at all they even end up removing their name brand completely. It can cost you upwards of $1500, starting from a script that was $280.

So who should you stay away from and who should you trust? The answer is trust none of them! Basicly the lesser devil is the holiest of them. Meaning that these software/script writers have formed a cartel. They all do it in some form. They give you from one hand and take from the other hand and the other feet. Why have they become this way? You cannot completely blame these script writers, They spend time and money creating these products and some jerks hack and null their scripts and provide it for free or sell it at peanut pricing without the original producer even benefiting.

So these software script/writers try and protect themselves by developing predatory sales and product delivery methods. Have any of you found out that the sales department is so easy to contact, but the support department is hard to get a hold of, once you have paid your money? Those are one of the methods...collect money from from customers and only listen to them when they have to pay for upgrades etc.

The writers have also developed a marketing scheme to falsely promote themeselves. They create false reviews on many forums, to make them selves look good. So beware of biased reviews. They are usually written or paid for by the software script writers.


How about script clones, Nulled scripts, private lancers or custom developers? Very sadly, be very very ware of some clones put out there. It is the same writers trying to sell you there products at a lower price. Here is the catch..They may want to punish you for buying clones...after 3 months of your site working fine, it starts to experience problems. You suddenly find that certain files have become corrupt or encrypted...but how?

This is because they have set a time activated trojan and backdoor injected malware in icons and image files. You may have gone thru the acripts and checked that nothing suspicious code is available. Well now you are going to need them to correct it. And behold you will recieve an email on how to correct your problems. After developing your site and paying for marketing and you just started earning money, you may have no choice but to pay them. It will end up costing you an arm and leg.

I advice to stay away from Nulled scripts. Especially the ones posted on Nulled websites. Because most nulled scripts contain Zend or Ion-cube encoding, one cannot tell what the script does. Even if you manage to decode the script, rememeber it is hard to decode image injected code. So even a Nulled script that does not report back to the original writer can now be changed to report to a new master. The person who nulled the script. And again the devil you know is better than the one you dont know. Meaning that, at the least the original writer even if he is expensive, you know their intent. But the null master who gave you the null script for free???? who knows what he wants from your website? Custom made script writers are about the best choice to go. Some of them are very serious about reputation and quality of work, while others are again scam artists...take your money, give you a reproduce of some one else's work etc.


Enough about that! Here is a list of Top and Best social networking or dating scripts and a brief comment of my opinions. The order does not matter yet.

1 - Dzoic:
Pros- in that its options for various membership level allows webmasters to make money at numerous different levels. Coding is complicated with too many unneeded files.
Cons- very very difficult to get a template, skin or theme. And very difficult to write your own template. Be ready to pay up to $1000 for a good custom templating or else your website will look the same like for every one else with dzoic. Very few people out there are dzoic specialists. So you will have to come back to the original writers to get fleeced for more money.

2 - abledating - ablespace:

Pros- It is actaully a very good, well thought out script. It is one of the only truly fully ajax based scripts out there. It appears that there are some persons spreading malicious gossip about them. Try it out for your selves.
cons - They will always skim you for more money for updates, brand removal, templates, akins etc.

3 - Built2go dating script.
Pros- The script is cheap, their are other script suites you get for the same one low price (under $100). There are numerous if not thousands of available cheap skins and templates for built2go products.
Cons.- Their design is out dated. Has not changed for many years. They will also fleece you for brand removal. their customer support is very slow in response. Many people have their scripts on numerous websites. There script is low on modern features of today's websites and common on cheap sites.

4 - Dolphin boonex

Pros - even with minor errors, this script is reliable. easy to use, some ajax based design. Pleasing and semi modern look. Packed with easy features. well planned out. Very hard for hackers to null its core modules like ray etc. So it has been relatively secure.

Cons - They claim that it is free. but actually it really is not. Will Cost you $39 for minor modules like Ray forums etc. be ready to pay at least $300 to have a running website. And be ready to pay another $500 to have branding removal. Their support is very bad once you have paid. Sales dept very friendly untill you have paid. Good Themes are hard to find. expect to pay serious money for them. Besides custom made themes for dolphin seem to develop script errors on certain functions. Very hard to find reliable themes.

5 - Emeeting

Pros - I personally like this script, it is simple, easy looking, well planned, good admin area, has some ajax.

cons - limited admin control. Not very much tested yet. Specifically intended to a 'dating only' website even if it has numerous others social networking features. Customer support is slow response but will respond.

6 - PHPFox
pros. easy to use scripts. very easy to navigate in admin areas. reliable and error free.

Cons - Limited options and features. Very limited admin areas. There are many websites with modified versions of this script and many have it nulled.

I am not finished yet...i will continue with many more..got to take a break..

 

Sound like a new tact from Dimitry Rudakov the Russian worm. Dzoic is very good, stable and works, unlike Abledating that is not good, doesnt work and is as stable as the Titanic.

Great post! I agree almost 100% with everything you said. Emeeting, Abledating, Social Engine and Dolphin are my favourites.

I like Social Engine for all the extra plugins/addons you can buy later on. I only wish you could buy extras for Abledating (though their script comes pretty packed with extras to begin with).

I would also stay away from nulled scripts. I've heard stories that Google will not recognize a website if it notices any suspicious or malicious code (often added by the nuller). You really think these guys null code and post them on multiple sites just for fun? Not always, but often there is an alterior motive. In my opinion, it's just not worth the risk. Having a website means nothing unless you have spent countless hours (or dollars) on SEO. You don't want to put in all this time and/or money on a site that has no support, and may not even get indexed by the search engines.

I ask Socialnetworker to provide his order number, because I need to look for his tickets in the members' area. If there are indeed any problems, or rude behaviour of our managers, the guilty will be immediately fired and all the possible help will be provided.
Also, I ask the administrators not to allow any nationalism in here, because this is not a forum where the fascists meet or anything like this. Dmitry is a Russian, Andrew is a Russian as well, but this does not allow users to use bad language like "d..head", "jerk", "Russian worm", etc. This is completely unappropriate for such a decent forum. It is an insult.
I also want to draw the administrators' attention to the fact that such users' behavior and personal insults is noticed by all the users, what can be clearly seen in their comments, like "please stop the spam", "if you are a competetor try to invent some other way of defeating", etc. Everything can be easily found here.
I am not saying of course that this user can not be our current client, but to prove this all I need is the order number.
Again, I need to say that I will have to post this reply everywhere where this user has been complaining, because we found this forum one of these days, we would have been working here and providing customer service here for a long time already, should we have found it earlier. But unfortunately we have never seen these threads. Please note that I am not advertizing anything, I am not spamming, all I need to do is to help the clients that probably have some problems with the support department, show the other possible clients in every thread that we really care about what is being said about us, and take appropriate measures.

You are welcome. Also I would recommend you not to read too much reviews but do the following:
1) understand what you need exactly
2) create a list of software scripts
3) check each of the demos, making notes.

After this you will see exactly which one will be ok for you and your goals.

 

Also check PG Social Networking software. Should fit for your niche, interests and business social networking

 

Very good advice. I would also recommend find out how hard it is to create themes or templates for the script. The higher paid ones will be difficult to find out though.

I downloaded some nulled scripts just so I can look at how organized their code was before I spent money on any 1 script. Buy the code people, save money on time and updates!

I originally went with social engine but am now looking at switching to buddypress.

 

SocialEngine was the best of those I evaluated (article in my blog at veikoherne dot com)

 

I have never used socialengine, is this like facebook and twitter? Like same or similar functions?

 

Feels kinda like facebook with how they laid it out. Keep in mind though what you buy is a bare product with just basic friends, pm, invite. You have to buy each plugin you want for an additional fee. So blogs, albums, groups will cost extra.

 

And this is a problem. If you buy a good car, you buy everything at once, the wheels, the seats, etc. And ONLY if you need something really strange and peculiar you can order it later. But man, make groups mod paid... sorry can not understand this
