Indians, Pakistans, and ect... Using the word "dear" wrong

And what about “Dear Madam/Sir”

 

Usually people use dear as loving or respected manner too so i think so its not 100% true bt yes it is mostly used for some loved ones .. Well i m from Pakistan and i never used this word for a Client as i just usually talk point to point

I am from India and I usually start my client chats with a small hai or hello . I seldom use the word dear. I usually use Respected Sir/Madam in letters. As long as the case of dear is consider I have also seen many people from America using the word "Sounds good" which is usually used to denote a perfect thing that has been done which should be a great work or good work.

The English of all Indians are not same and that of all Americans are not same why do we bother that as long as we all know what is communicated as English is just a language to communicate and Indians are not native English speakers. You all need to correct them now as then. Let us all unite to make this a wonderful world to live in.

its not that we use "dear" only for our sexual partners. In India, youngsters of today only use it. They dont mean it in wrong sense but make feel the other person as their own. Also no one uses "dear" while talking with any stranger. It is only used while contacting any close person.

I think people are using some words in their communications which carrying or memorizing immediately in their minds. in which most of the catchphrases of them or around their people speaks.

Yeah I have experienced that too, but I think it's okay. Not all the cultures are same.

 

It simply shows your thinking, how do you think or in which way you think when someone talking with you. It all depends on our thinking if someone says dear to us that doesn't mean they have the wrong intention. Called someone dear shows the affinity. But no one said dear to anyone as I know.
