Anyone think of anyways to break the $3 a day barrier I have had one or two spikes up to $5 but nothing regular. THis is the sum total of all my sites as well.

    Any further optimisation tips?

    http://www.myTipper.com
    http://www.silvertails.net
    http://www.cubicities.com
    http://www.beeriest.com
    http://www.e107blog.mytipper.com

Basically I am going broke at the moment due to expenses and family. I need to start making more money but can't seem to increase my click through and earnings. even with the traffic.

Any suggestions would just be super.

    Cheers
    Dan

    nope.

Silvertails.net is and one not mentioned above (i am embarrssed about the design)

the others are all global or US based

e107blog and mytipper.com relate fairly specifically to e107 which is a global product

    the others are global also

So how much traffic are we talking about here, Danny? Maybe it's time to consider signing up with a CPM ad network...

Silvertails gets about 5000 hits on average a day. Sometimes higher though I think I hit my yearly peak.

June 30 and beyond is the highest because it is the start of the trading season.

The other get somewhere in between

When I look at silvertails.net .. above the fold .. I see a banner, 2 sets of google ads, news headlines, a signup and the top edge of >> a cheerleader gallery and a "season draw"

It actually looks like you are trying to get visitors off your site before they ever read any of it.

In terms of "hits", with as many images as you have, that doesn't translate to very many visits or page views

    On mytipper.com your Title is

    <title>myTipper - home of ZoGo-Shop and e107 e-commerce: News</title>

Apparently, you are offereing info or downloads about an e-commerce package. I don't see "shopping cart software"

Also, the hompage is very crowded with ads and "what looks like ads" because you have probably tried to blend ads into your content. The page looks very confusing

The "Site News" is reiterated lower on the page almost verbatim.

    Just my $ 0.02

Just had a look at your silvertails site.
I'm seeing ads mostly for Sydney accommodation which is probably not what your viewers are interested in.
Maybe you could try putting some more football related terms in your content.. just a thought.
    :)

Okay, when you say "Hits", what are you talking about? Impressions or uniques? Or are we talking hits hits here?

Geez, and you can't make more than $3/day average with that traffic? Danny, my man, you're doing something wrong! Give me a few minutes to look at Silvertails...

BTW Did you just change the layout? What you have now looks pretty well blended to me...

One suggestion would be to add the word "rugby" into your title. By the way, are those "manly" ads relevant? I can't tell, because, well, I don't know anything about Sydney or rugby. If those "manly" ads aren't relevant, get rid of the word "manly" in your title, and try to clear up as many "manly" triggers as much as possible on your page. You want rugby ads, right? So try to squeeze in as many rugby keywords as possible. If your audience is rugby fans, you gotta serve them rugby ads.

You should look at each page like Google's adsense and bots look at it. Look at the source code from the browser and see how your important words look, do they show up at all? If so, near the top of the page? Do you have the right keywords? check Overttures bid tool.

Once you get enough keywords in the page, I'd get the free version of WebCEO to see where else the page needs optimizing. I'd consider getting rid of the Chitka ads as I had little luck with them. I'd also consider moving some of the content of the home page. Leaders, standings, polls, etc can be on their own page.

My suggestion, and I'm a relative newcomer to all of this so take it at face value - would be to focus on one or two sites rather than all these different sites with different topics. Learn from your sites and adapt your strategies. Track your stats using either analytics, performancing or mint, not aw-stat or webalizer.

Manly is a place in Australia ;) Although it seems to be triggering the wrong ads!

My only suggestions to help you break ANY $X barrier:
    - If you've done all you can to build links (submitted to every directory, etc. I suggest you sign up to an auto submitter)
    - If you've written a few articles for each site (this is if you want to maximize things, this is practically an unlimited link resource) and submitted them as well

You ALREADY have a winning formula ($3/day with a few sites), build MORE sites once you've filled the requisites I've listed above and move on. Either that or you should turn your main sites into long term authority sites (I find this painfully boring and not very fun, since if your few sites tank in the SERPs, you won't be very happy at all)

You site design is, frankly, ugly, unconstructive and completely overloaded with ads.

Half of the screen is used for ads, and users simply ignore you site completely like that.

You have to many ads, design isn't optimized for adsense (or anything else for thet matter)

Remeber: putting more ads doesn't mean more money and more clicks.

On all of the sites the design is quite crowded, and it's not immediately obvious what the main topic of the site is about. I would suggest putting a prominent summary at the top of each index page, about a couple of sentences, explaining what it is all for and why someone should visit. This gives you an excuse to put in very targetted keywords, and lets visitors know where they are and what they will get out of your sites.

Your other problem may well be the niches you have chosen:

Silvertails may simply be too small a club to attract a big audience (sorry, I don't know anything about rugby, I may be way off the mark here). Cubicities is about humour, which will never convert well. People come to read the jokes, not to buy stuff. The same may well be true for beeriest, because on the whole people buy beer in pubs rather than over the internet.

My suggestion would be to concentrate most on your best-converting sites, spend less time on the others and perhaps let the humour one slide, and find a couple of different topics to build sites for.
