Personally I don't like it, it pushes the actual content off the page. I think a leader board would work much better.

 

I have to agree with you.

Try to replace your 250x300 ad with 728x90 ad block.

Use the 250x300 or 468x60 ad block in between your joke categories.

Add another link unit in the left sidebar.

The rectangle ad might work or might not. It doesn't look too bad, however I think that if you wanted to increase your income you could add a skyscraper add in the sidebar. Many people fail to realize that these ad types to get clicked a fair bit.

Also for your colour scheme, you could try matching your text on your ads to the same colour of text on your website. Also change the url colour to your text to make to blend in better, and lastly change the title colour to match your link colour.

These tips might help or might not, its just something that I would try out.

Try adding link unit in the sidebar with other menu plus try to add sky scrapper also. It might help you to get more clicks.
