Does God exist?

Weird thoughts come to my mind. Are we all just hyped-up monkeys riding sports cars and eating cheese burgers? Does death mean that you die forever? Has religion been a big scam from the beginning?

When you trace the history of civilization, ice age 10,000 years ago when our ancestors hunted mammoths, to the bronze age, the iron age, the medieval ages till today, there have been hundreds of religions. It just doesn't make sense.

 

Until there are explanations to all the unanswered questions in the universe, we will continue to propose answers to fill the gaps in knowledge. Given that a) it is likely we will never have answers to all the unanswered questions in the universe, and b) we will continue to philosophize about the meaning of our existence, good, evil, and a variety of other subjects that will never have scientifically substantiated answers, I'd say some form of religion will always continue to exist. In some ways, it could even be considered part of the scientific process.

 

Yes...I believe in God. The same God that sent Jesus Christ to save us from our miserable selves. We all have done wrong - we need forgiven by a just and holy God. He is the world's only hope.

My faith - November 30, 1978 - I accepted Christ into my life. I repented of my sins and became a born again Christian. I can tell you that every trial that I went through since then - He was there for me. Things sometimes didn't work out for me, but I always had a higher power to rely on to get me through life's hurdles.

So yes, I know through my life experiences, that there is a loving God.

 

There is something really distasteful about the self-hatred that comes as part of the baggage of christianity.

"jebus loves you, But only if you hate yourself".

 

Hate others and nobody loves you? Jesus loves you too...

 

I think science has shown the universe and the human mind to be complex enough to explain this mystery. We aren't going to discover more truth be reading ancient texts, but with scientific innovation.

...if you're depressed, have an inability to acknowledged reality, or need something in your life because you are so self loathing you'll kill yourself since you have no ideas for a higher purpose - or you want to get control over your idiot children: God loves you, is watching you, and will send you to hell if you steal another cookie.

Personally, I don't find him to be invisible. I see him everywhere, mostly when I look at my children. He talks to me constantly, though I'm not always listening. He told me to vote for Obama. He said, "He is the one".

My personal opinion is YES i believe in God. I believe he created this world in 6 days, i believe he sent his son to die for the people of the world and everyone should repent of there sins.

There is different ways i look at God,
I cant see him, so is that a problem not for me persoanly! However i know some people have a problem with it because they like to see things. However you dont see the wind but you know its there! I would say thats God you dont see him, but you know he is there!
You cant see Thunder, but you can hear it. People claim they hear the voice of God, so i believe them, its not my place to call them liers or to judge them. God spoke to people in the Bible in many ways, through a burning bush, through the clouds plus other ways.

Everyone has there own opinion about God, thats fine we have that right.
