Stumbleupon or Digg?

I'm going to make one of these accounts and use it all the time to share links and build up a profile.

I don't have time to work on both, and I'm hoping that getting a big profile on one will bleed some success through to the other anyway, so I'm wondering, which should I go with?

Which is quicker and easier to submit to?

 

Stumbleupon is easy to submit to. Using a toolbar. Digg is also pretty easy. Digg traffic are more while stumble upon is somewhat less. Stumble upon has the highest bounce rate. get on top of digg and you could get >50000 uniques a day

 

Stumleupon is a lot easier to submit to, at the same time it takes less than a minute submitting to Digg.

It all depends on the quality of your submissions. As eBusinessCorporate mentioned getting in the front page of Digg can really make a huge difference in the future of your business but it is a lot harder than you think.

Considering your lack of time I would stick to stumbleupon.

 

Stumbleupon, that's the major answer of everyone... it's very easy to use and at the same time it's more popular than Digg...

 

The problem with stumbleupon is channel surfing. people do not come to our site with the interest of reading your particular article like in digg which may result in natural link baits.
The problem with stumble upon is that most people simply click the stumble upon button and they are randomly taken to your blog page.
Also stumble upon visitors are almost 99.99% non converting. I would say digg users are 99% non converting.
Normally social media users are not there to buy, but to catch hold of interesting information

Would you say SU was good for converting regular visitors, as my revenue is from adsense not from selling?

 

stumbleupon is better bcoz u create network.

 

Digg is easier than stumbleupon but both have distinct feature and value.

 

I guess this really just depends on what you are wanting to get out of your social networking experience.

Digg is going to be alot easier to get articles submitted and moving up through the rankings with your site, while on the other hand, Stumbleupon really puts together the whole "Bookmarking" & "Social Experience". With Stumbleupon you are able to submit sites to build traffic while at the same time building a profile and friends much like Facebook or MySpace.

So If i had to only choose one then I would choose Stumbleupon to utilize all the features.

 

I just started with StumbleUpon and I'm finding that I really like it....

Has anyone submitted an article on digg the past couple of days? They took away the "Shout" to your friends feature and instead of that, using twitter to attract attention to your submissions. I noticed that I've been getting a lot less hit counts on my articles...anyone have any input on this? Are there better methods/work around?

I've been seeing more search engine results with Stumble than Digg lately

wow, I didn't know stumble was so good - I've been using Digg and I notice good results with Digg... so then Stumble should be awesome

 

For one, (I am referring to the site in your sig) your type of website will never be able to get that kind of traffic through digg.

You need to have a legitimate article in a vertical which the users are genuinely interested in, even then, it should be hosted on a trusted website (Youtube, blogspot) and it should look like it was submitted and dugg by people who are interested as well (real comments, etc)

If you can manage those things, it is possible to get it on the front page with some "help".

 

Im starting to use Stumbleupon and so far, I'm satisfied with the features and traffic that Im getting.

 

I've never used much of any social networking site, but I might check out SU.
