Long or short articles

I have a site about tourist attractions. Each page contains long article about destination and its many attractions.

Is it a good idea to split all pages to short pages (only 100-150 word pages, each attraction on its own page) so I could use a good title tags on every page like: Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest

If I use long pages, there is no space put all good keywords in title tag and pages are not so effective in seo purpose.

One of my copywriting clients just ordered a series of 600-word articles and wanted to make sure I was REAL clear that I had to write her keyword phrase 6 times per article.

The articles are too long, but she'll probably rank well with those articles. She acts like she has given me a secret SEO formula, so I now pass it to you. ;-)

600 word articles with 5% keyword density is almost a standard now.

It all depends on the topic. You want to write to please the reader, not google.
If you do that, google will automatically be pleased.;)

Anyway, I wouldn't go less than 400 words. Read somewhere where google likes at least 350.

I like to mix is up on my blog. Some post are well over 1,000 words. While other post might only be 20 words. Some bloggers disagree with with long post, but I think they add a certain "flavor" to the site.

I've heard both things. I think it really depends on what you are hawking. For a travel site, I'd like to read longer articles, so I can get a feel of the place. For acai berry juice or any other snake-oil product, less is best IMO.

300-500 words maybe the best, people don't have time to read them all.

i think long or short is not the main point cause i have a classifieds site that rank n index nicely by google, most of the article (Classifieds AD) is less then 100 word :), by the way i use WP for classifieds

Doesn't matter if you use WP, abc, or def.
It does matter how your site is structured, and if you structure it with your main content/keywords close to the top, you have a winner;)

For tourist attractions its important to really write in detail about the area. No one wants to read the vague stuff, especially if they are going to spend a lot of money going there. You know?

I think your blog/site is not depending on one post. I think if the post need 100 then thats it - Use what you think the subject needs. If you stretch too much it become long and boring. You want search engines to see it but most of all you want people to read and enjor.

Its all about the content of the article, make it very interesting and informative. Not too short, but that long. People get bore reading long articles and there will be a tendency that they'll stop reading and move to the next one. Use keywords properly. For tourist attractions, I suggest that you add pictures for more readers/viewers satisfaction. Good luck.
