    I'm starting a gallery site so ss it better to have a php cms for good performance? since mysql cms based are resource intensive

    i havent heard of a mysql cms before. can you give me some examples?

    What I meant was a cms that doesn't use mysql so it's pure php

    Is this not to do with using a flat file or something? I remember reading that it should only really be used when a database is not available

    Its better to use a DB to be able to port your website to a better CMS when required
    Anyways, its good to know that cool CMS's exist that r filebased and do not use any relational DB
