If the requirement is to integrate with oscommerce joomla is better...
Joomla has Virtuemart and an integration with OSCommerce.

Drupal is not yet ready out of the box for building a ecommerce site.

Most ecommerce softwares have their own CMS that allows you to create pages within the ecommerce software. I recommend Magento for ecommerce websites.

You can use drupal for ecommerce website but choose the modules accordingly.
There are some bugs with paypal module of drupal. But they will not cause much problem as they arises when subscriptions goes beyond integer limit...

    Drupal + Ubercart.

Alternatively, if you want to pay for an industrial strength ecommerce solution, I'd strongly recommend a product such as ASPDotNetStorefront. Shame none of the products in the Open Source community are as good.

I would say Magento + Wordpress would be a Best combination.
Both are extremely powerful and SEO friendly.

    Hi,

We have tried Magento but not with wordpress. yep... we already know that how wordpress is SEO friendly. However, Magento cart is also a great technology as point of view SEO which helps your custom Magento website to gain high rankings in Search Engines like Google. It gives you Auto generated Google Sitemap, Meta for your products and category pages and much more…

There is no doubt magneto is best one for ecommerce solution but its really very costly.

I think you can use Joomla,x-cart etc which are also the good solution. You have to check demo of these solutions and features properly and select which have proper features according to your needs.

I did some research on Magento, and it seems a lot harder to learn than some of the other free apps. Would you agree or do you have any suggestions?

Mighty Commerce is the best e-commerce extension for Joomla. It is not free but have free trial license so you can learn if it is good for you before purchase.
