Windows 7 or Windows XP

Thing is, Everyone's been ranting and raging about Windows 7 *myself included* But i personally still find that XP is far more stable and more user friendly, Vista i didn't like much but XP i'm happy with, whats your take on this? Do you think you'd switch to Windows 7? :)

Software development is something else i think the main factor would be the ease of use, higher requirements for system specifications etc :/

while there are not much technical reasons to jump from XP, may be in the future we wont have a choice as we all left behind win98se. one possible reason could be the awesome support for devices. for example.. i go anywhere plugin any printer into win7 and just start printing.. xp is still a hassle i need drivers;0 if i wanna borrow my fren's bluetooth.. still xp isnt happy about it.. apart from these.. xp is still the best ;0

I'm using Vista right now and compare with XP, I like Vista more. Maybe because I don't have any issues just like some of you out there when using Vista. For Windows 7, I definitely will switch to it when the retail version come out.

I think I am going to start using win 7 because companies will start to use it and it will be a good thing to know when job hunting.

not many people admit to liking vista but tbh im with you i think vista (despite the early buggy set backs and major problems and many updates) is great!

I look forward to windows 7 (altho im more looking forward to Google Chrome OS)

If you are planning to upgrade your hardware or buy a new fast computer in the near future, then why not switch to Windows 7.

I would prefer windows 7 because it is much faster and can run programs better, plus their are less bugs because it combines vista and xp together making it run smoother from xp but have the new look from vista.

I'm one of those ppl that like Vista. I really haven't seen all those problems everybody mentions. And as a developer I like Vista even more because of the great opportunities brought by new .NET technologies such Azure Cloud and Live Services. These are beta now and barely work on Vista, as they are designed for Windows 7. Of course, when it is released I will switch to it, to be able to use the new features and develop software for it.

I currently use Windows XP. Might consider using Vista once I upgrade my computer.
