I think what you meant to say is that it will be mainstream.

Just like many of you, I'm also on Windows XP. My computer originally came with Vista but after couple of days, I had to install XP. It's just not the same. I love XP. And I don't know if I'll be switching.

I have Vista 64 bit, XP and just installed 7 in my laptop. I use Vista mainly and try to switch to XP, however, it fast but XP slow or lock up sometime when run some apps or working with many files in the same time. I like Vista 64 bit but decide to move up to 7 in the future.

Windows 7 is the first MS OS that I have ever considered setting up less than a year and a half after release. I usually wait for at least the second service pack but I am thinking of getting it this year. Its got uncharacteristically good reviews for a number of respected establishments. Won't be killing myself to get it though. XP is working fine. No Vista in my future.

When I'm in Windows 7 all of my drivers from mother board to video card have installed successfully and all corresponding software like Adobe Photoshop CS3, Dream Weaver CS3, then the Codecs from CCCP all works perfectly well except one my WiFi router aargh. My WiFi Router is a Linksys WRH54g and Windows 7 couldn't picked it up. Gonna search through google if they also had the same problems with the Router through Windows 7 and find a solution through it.

idk, I'm starting to like win 7, I've compared the two now on several different platforms and win 7 is starting to look alot more appealing to me. I hope that the win 7 server series is going to be as good....

vista sucks balls. eats resources faster than your great fat aunt bessie. Not to mention it gives small jerking motions while trying to play games, also like your great fat aunt bessie.

no but really. vista = fat guy in wheelchair
xp = not so fat guy.

I still prefer XP; because it executes on most of system with formidable requirements however W7 requires at least 1 GB to run it... By performance XP still stands top... W7 Ratings will be done after its stable version

I love Windows XP, no bull added to it.
Everything you need is there, nothing extra.
It's fast and gets the job done.

When Windows 7 comes out I think I will upgrade to it from XP. I used the Beta version and it was very good. The only issue is that some of the games that I used to play on Windows XP didn't work anymore.

I am also using Vista and I find it easily manageable.. What exactly are your problems with Vista..? It's an improvement for Microsoft for me although I can say that XP is already good enough..
