Hardly Any Clicks - What's Wrong Here?

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by Motivator, Aug 2, 2006.

I get hardly any clicks on my site. The last 3 days I've recieved 0 clicks and I think I've finally enhanced my blending and ad exposure greatly on most pages.

Can you guys help me out here and give me some suggestions as to why I'm not getting any clicks? Are the ads not appealing enough? Blended too much? Not positioned very well? Does my site take forever to load or something? Man, it's getting frustrating to say the least. Any feedback would be great, thanks!

    Ok, rant is over.

well, the header grabs my attention right away (so i dont even look at the ads)
and when i scroll down i look at the picture right away...
you can try putting an ad between the pharagraphs, maybe that will help..

the links are blue, so is the background. Since there is very little contrast between these two elements, the ads don't draw any attention. Change them to another color. Also put the 336x280 block closer to the top (right under the title so that the text floats or wraps around the ad)

Your background does not encourage reading change the color contrasts

Try inserting a links unit(728 x 15) just above your navigational links.

So instead of blending them so much, make the ads stand out more? I've read so much on how you should blend them in to fit in with the surrounding text so as to make them NOT look like ads, so that is what I have done....but maybe a bit too much his what you're all saying?

Would it be best to change the title and/or link color within the ads, or would it be best to keep those colors but change my site background color?

Bring the ads up and leave it in content.
