How do you find out if your proxy is blocked in Schools?

I have a problem with my glype scripts + cpanel.
previously I'm using lxadmin on my server and glype script working perfectly fine, then i decided to switch controlpanel to cpanel.
however after switched and uploaded the files, the proxy script could not run. everytime I typed the url and enter, I got a blank page result.
anyone know how could i fix this problem? thanks in advance.

Looks like problem with directory permissions. Check the .htaccess file in the directory where proxy is located.

BTW I love Lxadmin much more than cPanel.

 

*** serious issue with glype ***

it was just pointed out to me (see post here) that there is a very serious issue with the current version of glype. i've got a copy on one of my test servers that i downloaded on the 3rd of may (after glype changed ownership) that doesn't have this change, so i can only assume that this has been done consciously by the new owner at some point after that..

does anybody else think this is messed up?

Good that I was using an old copy of glype which I downloaded some way in april.

 

Im not sure what script to use now Glype is not updated.. And now this crap phproxy is also not updated. Cgi proxy and zelune do they have facebook myspace bebo and orkut plugin? I have my own server so that not a problem..Only i have no idea what script to use for the moment.

 

So the owner is trying to use preg_replace to replace the PUB ID's on the proxy pages? That would be just a stupid idea.. Since Glype 1.1 is powerfull enough to rewrite the Adsense code so its proxied. So people will be clicking on the ads threw the proxy from the server IPs. Its unlikely Google would pay for that. 2nd Google has been known to ban people putting adsense on the proxy pages. I actually remove Adsense in my proxies, its waste of cpu to parse.. Just add pagead2.googlesyndication.com or whatever to your /etc/hosts file .

 

yeah i just downloaded the script from main site and that replacement code is still there

 

It is in fact there. Examining it. The owner is trying to sneak his pub-id into the proxy pages. I'm certain the function "function HTMLDocument();" does not modify the homepage. So its not chaning your Pub ID but the PUb Id's on the proxy pages of any sites someone visits that happens to have to adsense.

maybe the new code has been change...

 

Can anyone recommend me a good proxy script with minimal resource usage like CPU and Memory in a hosting account.

You can opt in for zelune .net script
its the best one I know for least resource and bandwidth usage
