    So i'm pretty new to this whole adsense thing, i was wondering, is it possible to put an adsense link in a signature on a forum?? i've been thinking about it and wondered if it was "legal" or not....it's maybe a stupid idea.

    AdSense uses Javascript, which I'm pretty sure isn't allowed/useable in signatures.

    I think shamess is right. And moreover I don't think it wouldn't break the AdSense TOS: I think only one pub-id is allowed per pages

    Hi, I don't know about it's legitimacy but a big forum I was a member of uses adsense as a default signature for members.

    For all of them? But you can only have 3 units on a page...

    hmmm...would it be going against their terms and conditions if i copied the actual URL the ad links to (as in http://page2ad.googlesynd.......) ..so would it work? or would it even be allowed?

    Nope, that wouldn't work at all since there would be no display code, ect. It'd be against forum rules in any case, I'd guess due to the "only three units on each page" thing. Also, you can't have more than one Adsense ID on each page, I believe.

    Don't even think about it, sure way to get banned.
    Read the TOS, you're not allowed to play with the code.

    Actually, he wouldn't get banned because there would be no pub-xxx to find his account by. ^^;;

    Yes, you're right.
    But anyway, messing with the AdSense code, one way or another, is imho, a bad idea...
