Is it really necessary to put yourself in some social networking site for increasing the traffic to your website?

 

social networking is really works the best platform to do social networking is face book add a lot of people you can add daily and send them messages update them about your site and projects you have share information with them .

It is very true that social networking sites can give you a lot of traffic but they may be not targeted traffic to your business but I think it works to a certain extant and it also helps for link variation..

 

Yeah On facebook you can do many things for SEO purpose make an account there and grow your friends circle and then create a page of your website or product and invite people to join that page and update that page everyday with interesting information in form of blogs, articles,videos etc.

 

It didn't work for me.
Maybe because my websites are not in english, but I don't get anymore traffic with my Twitter and Facebook accounts.

They all will work if you are willing to put the work into them. One thing that I have learned over the last several years is to NOT spread your self thin by trying to belong to too many. Find a couple that you like the best and then stick with them. Forming groups and friendships within the groups are the key factors to social networks. Everyone in your group of "friends" will help in your sites promotion.

The traffic from SB is not trust worthy , Simply to say you Just Have Good Fan Club of your site.

Also you articles will easily be Indexed through Digg, Rediit, Yahoo Buzz Etc etc
