Youtube is AWESOME for traffic to my site

I have had some great results with youtube and getting traffic to my new sites, the only problems with using youtube is that if you are using an affiliate program or similar the conversion are extremely low.

 

I agree also! youtube is good in generating traffic

 

I know Youtbe is a visual thing but the video doesn't neccessarily have to be that good! Just make sure the clip is relevant, different and interesting...ugly works and simple definetly works!

 

I have about 25 videos uploaded to youtube, and most have been on there for a few months now but I can't say that I have ever seen any traffic coming from youtube to my site

I check AW stats a few times a month and as of yet youtube does not seem to be sending any traffic at all, despite having the website link on there etc.

There was one guy that joined my forum and he said he found us on youtube!

 

I ready somewhere 70% of visitors search for porn. I wouldn't be surprised if that was true.

If you have a porn site then go there.

I got the majority of my traffic from youtube until a few months ago, if you create a useful video that gets lots of hit, people will generally click on your links and go to your site

 

Yes I agree too that youtube is extremely good for getting targeted traffic to your site. Like you said putting your link in your video is good, plus making sure to have it in your description is also not only good but vital. The reason why is because when you start your description out as: http:// with your website
the search engines picks that up, and especially google. In fact if done right and submitted to enough video sites you could end up on the first page of google results in your first day if not within hours. If anyone needs any more help on marketing feel free to let me know.

I'm a total noob to video marketing - How do I get traffic to my videos ? I uploaded few today... and so far 0 views. Does it take time to be cached in google ? When can I expect some views and clicks ?

youtube is a powerful tool to grap traffic your website , but you've to upload videos that peoples want with a magnetic title

 

I know you prbably can't put the link in here but if you can I think we would all love to see it. If not could you PM me the link so I can get an idea as to what it was like?

Also, do you think this would work for a comedy blog? Maybe making an amateur vid for it?

 

I have a pretty busy Youtube channel - 500 video views a day on average, but don't get a very high click through ratio.

 

What sort of videos do you produce?

 

I use social sites for my videos and have good results. I also use classified adds, and other things like yahoo business groups as well. I get pretty good click through rate. But more importanly a good amount of sign ups too.

I appreciate your comment. Like I had stated in a previous thread somewhere else on this site. You will always do a lot better getting sign ups to your programs if you take the time to help people out and actually help them to make money too. Everybody has bills to pay and some people are just looking to make a little extra money online and some are looking to quit there jobs and work full time online. But if you help them achieve there goals there more willing to also look into what you have as well. You can achieve more by helping others achieve there goals first! I had forgot who said that quote but it does make sense and is easy to do. Plus of course if also feels good to help people out as well.

 

Surely Youtube is a very busy site but now a days it is used by the spammers. Like I have seen many Videos with a link in black ground saying "Youtube has deleted this video so please go and check my site ***** for the original video." They also put their website address in the About me. I don't know whether they get good visitors from there or not but I believe it is really not a good idea of Traffic generation. If youtube finds it they will delete such videos and ban the users right away.

 

Definitely what I plan on doing here, Im here mainly to learn but as soon as I have accquired enough knowledge I'll start to help when and where I can. The learning will continue forever and so should the teaching.

I'm just a complete noob with almost everything on DP at the minute but with the help of people like Socialsite I hope to becomeat least an intermediate in things such as SEO, marketing and many others.
