    Hi Everyone, :)

I could really use some advice on my first eCommerce store. I have a couple of options for the products -

1st - It is a brand name, and I have a decent domain, but it has the exact companies name followed by shoes - This is ok isnt it? For instance - nikeshoes.com

2nd - I would like to find a supplier - There are a ton of people selling these shoes on Ebay - Whats the easiest way to find this out? No one will answer my emails.. I would prefer to dropship, but I cant find anyone because this particular brand is only sold mainly in their own brand stores.

3rd - Should I just affiliate for Ebay ? For some reason I have tried to setup an Ebay affiliate account, I select product comparision type website and I always get turned down.. Why is this?

    1) domains with a company name in them have legal issues
    2) contact the company and ask if they dropship, if not ask them for their distributors
    3) never tried ebay aff. before

You can use research agencies like Brickred in india to find dropship companies and wholesalers. Bear in mind that if teh company seem to only sell their own stuff, they may not be supportive of you selling it.

Affiliate marketing is one tough cookie! You need to check out affiliate marketing sites to learn about what's going on in this market.
Question, what are the 3 links you have posted at the bottom of the thread?

Going into a market where there is a ton of competition isn't impossible, but it sure can make for a rough ride. Why not choose a market or niche which is smaller? And therefore you have a better chance of success.

It's been my experience, that unless you have a lot of time and money and are really in love with the product or service a very competitive market can drain your energy quickly.

I agree, unless you have something that sets you apart from the competition, I don't think you'll find much success with your store
