Which is a best medium to learn Photoshop ?

All DP members i m new in Photoshop.

I even dont know the "p" also in photoshop.

Please somebody help me to learn or tell me some tutorials.

Well I myself started out by making signatures, I followed lots of tutorials and which helped me learn the basics as well as some of the advanced functions of photoshop. I started off at http://www.gfxskool.com it would be a great place for you too, they have a very nice tutorials section and also a very helpful community who would be more than willing to help.
Make sure you register and post your work as you make them as the Comments and critique provided by the members would help you improve and develop your skills.

I'd say that just practicing more and more helps, but also psdtuts is a good resource. Other than that, there's no quick way to learn this skill. Try heading to the Contests forum in DP and making some designs there, where you'll get feedback on what you've made and possibly make some money!

I think the best place for newbies to learn photsohop is Youtube. There are many step by step phtoshop tutorials on youtube.

start with tutorials on text ....using simple effects like drop shadow ,bevel,inner/outer glow.

Thats how i started off 6 yrs ago as a noob.

Later on you can move over to image editing then to image retouching etc.

 

psdtuts is the best place to start reading about photoshop....

 

I saw psdtuts and i found very good for me to learn photoshop but everywhere i found the tutorials like this only...but no where i found that can teach me from the begening to end....

 

All you need to do is search the information with search engine. Just input in the search box like "photoshop tutorial", "photoshop tips", etc, and in seconds it's showed in frnt of you.
The second way is buy a book, its available in so many bookstore...

 

Just Google search it and you should find the answer. There are many Photoshop tutorials on the web. A great place for newbies is YouTube.

True. I also started by making a signature. Then after I made my first, some others requested me to make them sigs too. because of that my experience in photo editing widen from icon to large arts (walls and layouts)

True again. PSDtuts filter only great tutorials since they pay for it (150$ per tut).

 

If you need to learn it fast and pratical, you might want to try learning from e-tutorial such as tutorialized.com and any other tutorial sites, and start doing projects !

All you need to do is start doing, learn how layers in photoshop works, learn some basic tool such as :

move tool, lasso tool, brush tool, magic wand, paint bucket, and eraser.

Actually, IF you spend your time fully, 12 HOURS TOTALS in front of your PC and works with photoshop, i guarantee you already at intermediate levels
But it is IF you SPEND your time 12 HOURS TOTALS, no matter how many days, weeks, or even years you touch photoshop, if you don't spend 12 hours total, you wouldn't go anywhere.

Always understand that Photoshop is a simple software, even in Hollywood they don't use photoshop. "It's too simple", they say...

 

I have to say that psdtuts.com are the best

 

I LOLLED AT THIS. Most movie wallpapers that you see today (horror,sci-fi,any other) are made on photoshop.

It takes a long time, there are many good tutorials out there including youtube and just google photoshop!, but i learned over many years trying to find my own ways of copying images.

 

You can join a coaching for the photoshop,and you better downloads some e-books for photoshop and start reading it.
