hello. I opted for a skyscraper text/image ad and today when I was browsing my own website, I saw an image ad, except it did not have "Ads by Google"

i took some snapshots. sorry for the 2 images, the skyscraper is too tall for one snapshot...

Some times Ads by Google is not shown when a flash ad is shown.

Yep sometime people may use Flash ads because it's easier to make? Or has something flash in it that you may not notice.

it's interesting in that article how they say that the early days of adsense lets you actually disable ads by google, and the result was a higher ctr.

hmm. this is good news for me :D

hows that image script treating ya?

I'm noticing more image ads coming through on AdSense too...

Maybe now with Smartpricing, its just as cheap to have an Image ad served up instead of a text ad on AdWords....

    IE

    Before Smart Pricing:
    Text Ad: $0.40c / click
    Image Ad: $1.00c / click

    After Smart Pricing:
    Text Ad: $0.03c / click
    Image Ad: $0.35c / click

sometimes the "Ads by Google" caption is not displayed when you choose a image ad unit. Nothing to worry about it.
