Where to start with social networks?

Hi guys, what a fab forum I have recently started a web design and hosting company (www.sgn-webstudio.co.uk) however ive been out of the market for a little over a year and alot has changed

Especially the social networking stuff. Im looking for somewhere to start, is there any software that can be recommended that will make things quicker? Or should it be done manually? What are the vital ones??

 

The more you do manually the better quality traffic you will receive via social networking sites. I apologize, I don't have any recommendations for automated software.

 

My recommendation is not to do it automatically - but that's just me. I think the more you get into a specific Social site like Twitter, FB, or SU - the better.

There are sites like Facebook, Twitter, Ning, Myspace, that can be used.

 

Manually for better results,

first manually submit website to all social bookmarking websites.
second manually submit to all directories.
thirst do quality link exchange with others with full relevancy.
forth comments on relevant blogs.

Early on with a blog...I've found success with one SU recommendation per week, one Reddit recommendation. As well as referring someone elses blog the other 6 days of the week!

 

if you want to make manual bookmarking would be hard job but better would be a software...

What do you mean by submitting to directories? Can you name some examples of directories to submit articles to?

 

Social networking sites means sites like facebook, myspace, ning, twitter, linkedin, hi5, etc. Social media marketing sites means sites like social book mark sites. You will subscribe to friends, follow them, make them follow you provide status updates, join special interest groups, receive and originate group communications etc. The trick is cleverly imbibing your own advertisement messages in between quality original status messages that all your friends and contacts subscribe to. I think those sites should allow the account owner to advertise his or her own link in a ratio of predetermined ratio like 5:1. For every 5 quality posts, 1 of your own ad is allowed. That will motivate them and make it legitimate spam. People who receive such spam will keep mouth shut because they know if they complain against spam, they will also lose access to quality content. Spam and advertising is a necessary evil that acts like the oil to the economy machine.

 

Just make your Facebook life and link your website to it. Nowadays there are lot of SB like myspace,tagged,twitter. Just use it manually

 

I think you should do it manually as it brings both the good and quality traffic. Join some social networking and bookmarking sites like eZdia which helps you in this. Just check it out at eZdia

 

It's always better to do it manually. My suggestion is try to register on facebook and twitter. They are the best.
