    Hey Guys,

I am thinking of getting into proxy business.

    I'll start with 15-20 domains.

Can you guys recommend any good(affordable) hosting?

Also, which advertising network you people use?

I dont have an adsense account.

For the hosting part I would recommend you going with lacehost. I've been with them for a while now and never saw any downtime and their support is quick as well.
For the advertising network so far adsense have always been the best though you may give a try to bidvertiser as well as I've noticed many of the proxy webmasters have been using bidvertiser on their index page and for the proxified pages so far the best combination have been xtendmedia + adversal in my opinion though you'll see a downfall in each of them due to a rapid increase in proxy biz in past 1 year.

Thanks for your reply. Green added.

Is it necessary to do paid promotion when starting out?

Also how hard or how easy it is to get accepted in these ad networks that you mentioned.

Hello friends, I will share my trick to get some more $$ from adsense in your proxy website.
It is simple.. add a simple adsense search box in your proxy home page. If it is not clear, see demo in one of my web proxies NoTrailSurf.com
It generates minimum 2$ daily (some times 5-8$ for me depending on the clicks) for me.
Try it and grab some extra money :)
    All the best.

Adversal and Xtendmedia are the hardest networks to get into in the proxy industry. According to Haley from Xtendmedia; "a requirement of at least 50,000 daily page views" is required. Full Source Here. Adversal also has a requirement of visitors but I just checked and it seems like they have dropped their requirements drastically.

If you ask me, the best way to promote proxies is through viral marketing..spread the word in schools and you will have a multi-chain effect with lots of visitors in a few days. This kind of promotion works better than any proxy list/topsites. Of cos, keep it from the teachers ;)

Proxy hosting wise, you might want to be careful with the bandwidth. Proxies uses alot of bandwidth. I would recommend limiting the max filesize limit to less than 500kb to prevent users from downloading large files which would in turn reduce your bandwidth usage. Due to proxies being heavy server usages, you will find that the good companies do not oversell their bandwidth. Feel free to shoot me a pm if you need any help. Good luck! ;)

I don't know about others but I've been using it since beginning. Doesn't gets too much but yeah atleast it contributes for no extra cost.

    Hello alex.ohc

On the top right of your site underneath Home Australian Proxy is a ordinary Google Search box, I use Firefox for viewing. You may want to have look.

I have used such ordinary Search boxes on proxies with little success, yet the trick, as I under stand it you is making a search bar as you did in the mid of the middle column.

    How is it done?
    What about Adsense TOS?

    Kind Regards,
    vahing

Hey everyone. I have just launched a brand new proxy listing site and I need some proxy submissions. The site is already up over 200 unique visitors todaym on the second day after launching. The URL for the site is:

    ProxySupply.com

I have integrated this proxy listing site with the following twitter account:

    twitter.com/proxysites

This account currently has 1,273 followers, and every new proxy site is sent out. The site is brand new so I'm still working on building a stable user base - but it's coming.

I also have this account setup to auto post to a growing Google group.

I built up juvos.com and proxysites.net, and both of those are a great success. You can expect this listing site to grow like those did.

So go ahead, start submitting your proxies there.

    Thanks,
    -nux
