I guess it's about retaining the customer on the page. If you have ad link at the top, ad block top left and ad block top right, all before the fold, you're average reader is going to see it as an ad site and click off. By having the site nav top left, it almost makes it feel like a 'proper' site.

Which site are you referring to? The dietsexposed site which started this thread doesn't appear to be breaking any rules as far as I can see.....

Yea, right. His CTR is 50% and his CPC is $1.

    How do you know that?

Right, so after googling my site I see that it has been mentioned here.

Yes, thats right... I own www.specialadvice.com

It does not use iFrames, it uses an RSS feed from goarticles.com to fetch content depending on the keywords the user types in. It the parses that RSS feed in to HTML content.

It also scans a clickbank database to fetch related clickbank content and attaches your my unique clickbank ID to it.

I am selling the script for it for anyone that is interested, otherwise you can create your own free version at www.specialadvice.com/get_script.php which will attach your own google adsense ID and clickbank ID to all the listings.

I am pleased so many of you like it.
If you have any questions about it please e-mail me at support@specialadvice.com

    Thanks,
    Anthony

    At http://100-downloads.com/
The only Google ads I see are 3 public service ads. I also see a lot of empty spaces, probably supposed to be filled by ads (although I don's see adsense code in their source). Anyone else see the same?
The i-frames that contain the public service ads don't contain any text, which might be why Google can't find suitable ads and defaults to public service.

Hehe, yesterday there were ads. I also get only PSA end empty blocks today. So, for him, no $1000 today. :D

    eski009-
I typed the keyword Travel into your little search box there.
Lots of links from Adsense ad units- NO content on the pages.
How can you honestly say that your neat trick isn't in violation of the TOS?
    http://www.specialadvice.com/index.php?keywords=travel&x=12&y=11

A great way of capturing the articles, and I will take a closer look at it in the morning.
But those adsense ads are definately in violation, IMHO.
I don't believe it is OK to simply provide links to articles via RSS.
That header for the ad unit in the left column?
    "Related Information"
Read the f*cking TOS already, then get back to us on that one.
