Has anyone tried out the MagenPro extension for Magento, I'd love to get some comments from people who have used it before I spend the money to buy it.

    Any information is helpful!

I recently bought a package from this company with the MagenPro extension installed and it works wonders.
They are very courtious and helpful and does basically all the work for your store (Like setup, template alteration, newsletter, email configuration) for $450.00. See store here (dutyoutlet_dot_net).

They are amasing, you will be able to have access to 1ooos of products with images, description, prices (you set profit) and upload to your magento site with a clicking a "Fetch" button, they deliver the products to your customers.

    I recommend anyday.

I actually saw your site on the twitter page for the company that makes the MagenPro software. Thanks for taking the time to give some input!

dutyoutlet_dot_net looks nice on the home page.
The product links for the details of the product are broken, and show a 404 page with "Whoops, our bad" comment on it. The other catalog pages with the same style of product lists do seem to work fine.

I did a search for LCD, yet no results were returned. I see a big LCD tv on the home page so the site is trying to sell LDC tvs, right? Why doesnt the search bring one back? I then did a search for TV and got back a teeth whiter called FastWhitener Express because of its "as seen on tv" text.

What seems odd about that site, is that the home page shows lots of cool electronics and stuff, yet the catalog menus dont bring up those types of products at all. Do you actually sell big LCD tvs and cell phones, or is this actually a mockup ecommerce site to show off a web designer or the magento product?

Overall, the site has a first impression good look, but is only skin deep and is not ready for live sales yet.

Yeah, I was looking deeper into the product and it seems that it's also sold on a per domain basis (I use magento in order to setup multiple domains/shops on a single install) so with the price that would be quite painful on my wallet. Also, when you have a site setup with this plugin you can't sell anything that doesn't come from doba (another thing I require as part of my shops) so all in all, while the product looks good I don't think it's for me.

Anyhow, I hope this helps anyone else looking into the product with requirements like my own.

My store is not yet finished, and is not in production mode ;)
I was just making mention to what they can do for magento users.

I have been abit slow in changing my home page images to suit my product line.
so non of the products on the home page is actually what we are selling.

    Cheers
