Using Squidoo Good?

Please Tell me, is it good to use Squidoi lens or something other like this to promote sites?
I mean It takes time to post and promote .. If one is having content and nice blog then why One should go for such time consuming activities?
Isnt better to work on blog all the time for content and promotion. I think too many things lead to, too many pains.
Whats your opinion?

 

there are the sites like squdoo and hubpages are my favorite because if you create page on their its chances that in the search engine your page will be high as hubpages have the page rank is 6 .and if you create a link than again it will be a good for the seo point of view .
and one more reason is that you can drive internal traffic means if you make hubpage then you will bring quite amount of traffic through the related tags which you have given from other hubpages related with your niche.

 

So you are suggesting me hubpages?

What if I just post link at my hubpages or squidoo by just using social bookmarking button. will that work?

well i didnt get what you meant by posting links using social Bk but i would suggest you go with squidoo, hubpages and of course ezine. I love these 3. You can use 2 max links on hub while 9 max on squidoo pointing to 1 domain. Its better to go with 4-5 links on squidoo in order to avoid the spam! Hope it helps

 

I used Squidoo to get traffic for when I was promoting GDI and I didn't have very much luck with it at all. I even at one point had been pumping $100 a month into fueling it with 2nd tier PPC traffic and I DID jump from around 30,000 to around 100-200 in ranking in business, but it really didn't make a difference. My conversion rate stayed the same.

Its not only hubpages and squidoo, there are tons of other web 2.0 sites like weebly, wetpaint, tumblr, posterous, etc. You COULD post links to your 2.0 creations by using social bookmarking ways and means.

 

Definitely it's a good idea to use Squidoo lens for promoting blogs/site...it not only facilitates you getting back links but also give you a good exposure...it is a single page website...Once you learn how to craft the lens with SEO requirements, then you can make it in no time! You can also set your adsense account and get revenues...

I prefer creating Squidoo lens because it has been considered as one of the Authoritative link-building sources!!!

 

If the lens is so good means everybody likes to read the lens and it is very easy to promote.

 

Promoting the lens on Squidoo is where all of the traffic can come from. Who you share the links with is ultimately the most important part of social networking.

You don't have to even create a lens yourself you have about three people that responded to you that will help you create a squidoo lens. One for $19

 

haha true that! check out some of my recent lenses; just created them! nothing beats mine for the price. To be honest $19 is just too low for the quality and content you get. I have Squiddo set up and I haven't seen any traffic come through there.

 

I think squidoo is mostly used for advanced linking / backlinking strategies. No so much for getting direct traffic.

Same with hubpages.
