    How do we use text into a graphics as an eraser???

    what i mean is this


    1) the text word "book"
    2) a graphic ex "vector"

    i want the word book delated from the graphic... then we see a whole in the graphics that read "book" in other words (transparent through)


    please some help me

    Add background, add text, ctrl-click text layer icon to make a selection of it, delete text layer, click delete on keyboard while the backgorund is selected.

    i dont get it... when i select the text layer...then delate the text layer.. the text disapear.... then nothing happens when i click delate on keyboard...

    can u make a photo step by step?

    My instructions said to ctrl-click the text later icon to make a selection of the text shape. You didn't do that.

    the other method is layer masking.. look at bottom icon at layer palette..

    thanks a lot getadvice.. it got it worked out... it was very simple the way you have created the tutorial....

    however is this possible...

    instead of eraser brush.... can we turn that text as in transparent mask layer?

    another way of doing the same thing i believe?
