    I want to save some of my short messages from my HTC touch to pc for later use but have no idea how to do it.

    Before sending the message, write it down in a text processor like notepad and save it to your hard disk.

    It's simple!

    Connect your mobile and PC.
    you can find options to save SMS in PC Suite.

    I think its depends upon which mobile phone you are using. If you are using basic mobile phone, you will not able to enjoy such functionality.

    It very simple. Connect your mobile to PC with data cable. You have to install phone software in PC. Then you can see all text messages available in mobile. Just transfer them. Thats it. I am doing this regularly.
