Proven best Google ad size and placement

There seem to be endless "check my ad placement" threads in this forum

Rather than check each one out, I'll simply state what the pro's do

Pro's who make a living from adsense income use the 336 X 280 large rectangle below the header and above the content
They also only place 1 adsense block per page, in order to be sure to only display the highest bid price ads

Adsense ads to blend in with site - no border, ad background same colour as page, ad text same colour as site's text, ad links colour same colour as site's links

true, i tested all kind and this is best ad format in my opinion too.

 

The Skyscraper is the best size.

 

can you give a clear example for all what you just said now please.

 

It may be the best size but it isn't the best paying

I want the most money possible so I use the large rectangle, positioned as stated in my post

 

OK, a couple of examples:

wordpress blog site: tradercurrencies.com/currency-trading/

A guy who make his living from adsense has done extensive testing of all possible adsense block sizes and page positions and found the large rectangle, placed below header and above content is the best paying on all sites he tried it on

Note: I've removed graphic headers from all my wordpress blogs - because the same guy found his adsense click rate improved when he removed the distracting header images from his sites. His sites are now downright ugly plain white, but making for money - I at least have a plain header image - he has none - but there again he makes more than me - my best adsense day for a single site is over $64 - his is over $200

I tried different themes...plain old pays better.

yes follow him and learn some lessons that will kick gear your car.

 

Large rectangles at the top of website used to work good earlier.
But as people now are not comfortable with ads shooting their sight,smaller size or skyscrapers with nice blending work better.

I use 300x250 below between header and my articles. I used 336x280 before, but its ctr is smaller than 300x250.

Have this one bookmarked. Since reading this I have changed all my ads and lets see if there are big improvements. So far so good.

 

I recommend to include a Full Banner, a Leaderboard and a Skyscraper, as those are most commonly used ad formats in Google

 

i prefer my site ad placement with large rectangle and Half banner

 

I think square image one is best
