Better to buy a larger shared proxy hosting plan, or a VPS with more resources than a dedicated server with low specs.

 

It took me a few trys to be accepted into adversal but the earnings are pretty equal to my adsense earnings.

I use a linode.com vps with only 360megs of ram and have no trouble (around 3-4k hits a day, chartbeat shows a max of 100 people browsing simultaneously), I would assume that dedicated would handle significantly more traffic. Not so sure about the 10mbps pipe though.

 

I am non-US based and have some months ago found out by means of one of my proxies that Adversal shows a different landing page w/o sign-up form to visitors of my country (Brazil).

Logically, I have signed up via Proxy, but then I have inserted my true address. Subsequently, my application was turned down. I might get new hope from response though.

If not, Smowtion + Adbrite make at least as much for me as Adsense (which you say returns about the same as Adversal). But, as always, it would be an asset to have an ace in the sleeve

 

You have violated their TOS.
They prohibited any user use anyway to alter their IP to register for the account.

 

Depends what level you want to achieve, .cc domains are free and there are free hosting solutions available.

.coms cost approx $5-$10 and hosting anywhere from $0-$200 per month.

I don't have the impression that you got my point. Without using a proxy I would not have been displayed the sign-up page.

Means they don't want publishers from certain countries, so there was nothing to lose in trying to get in.

I might be the case the their TOS would not allow signing up using a proxy but I doesn't make sense either as all my information was correct.

Your post isn't really helpful what to do if you live in certain countries for which Adversal has been using non-signup form landing pages.

I am looking forward to see your reply to this underlying problem.

Thanks for this insightful opinion. When you were kicked out of Adbrite or GI it was also their network - their choice, honestly. All in line with TOS.

Dedicated servers all the way, but december is probably a bad time for you to upgrade.

 

Agreed. Proxy owners will see less traffic in December and some would perhaps even like to downgrade. On the the other hand those selling X-Mas stuff may want to increase capacities until December 25.

Both is possible with VPS nodes in the cloud (instant upgrade, you only pay what you use).

Yes, I meant VPS.net. Automatically upgrading is possible. This is called a scheduled upgrade.

Upgrades/downgrades don't have to be scheduled of course. You can have instant upgrades to deal with sudden demands, whereas a downgrade may take up to 24 hours. You pay only what you use.

VPS.net is totally scalable and can really be recommended. Excellent price to value!

It's not about the competition, it's more like the moneyt that will be wasted. The clicks that you will receive will never cover the costs and in the end you will have wasted a lot of money

 

@ Mr Gee - No, it isn't worth it and therefore there is probably no competiton. The main proxy related site using adwords is hidemyass... I wouldn't recommend adwords for proxies.
