Need Hosting

I have a new project with an arcade gaming template ready to be uploaded.

I need a free hosting website such as Freehostia.com but hosting that accepts CSS.

    Thanks.

Well why don't you try checking out http://www.000webhost.com - I think they allow sites with CSS and PHP coding or dynamic sites for the matter.

    They wanted free hosting.

Most free hosting sucks. They always have a "gotcha" in them one way or the other. There is no way to run a decent website on free hosts I'm afraid.

I don't blame the free hosting people for that, it is pure economics. Why would they spend money on electricity to run a server and not have some design on getting you to actually pay for it? Makes no sense. People are usually not that charitable.

You can Google up "free web host ratings" and there are a bunch of sites that list the freebies and their packages. When I first started and had no money I did that. Never did find one that was 100% usable, always some caveat that made it not worth my time.

If CSS is your only drawback then there are plenty of free hosting sites out there. I bet a dollar to a doughnut that that won't be your only issue.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that nobody will take you seriously if you are on a free host. That is just a fact of life. You will either be a subdomain or some other thing like they will slam unwanted ads in unusual places. Usually you can't run your own ads either and you certainly can't block theirs... Hence, the CSS issue. That is why they don't generally allow it.

Hosting is a terrible business. I have hosting available, but I don't offer it anymore. You have to practically give it away and I refuse. I would rather let it rot in hell actually... I'd help you out, but it sounds like you want to invest zero dollars on your website. You might do well, who knows.

I have even offered to help people out to start a business. I supply the hosting and consult and they pay me when they make money. No takers. So, I quit offering.

    Happy hunting! :D

Browse around the web hosting services forum here or the freebies forums. There may be a free promotion someone is doing for their service this time of year.
