    I've got a lot of knowledge about certain scripts from review sites, though I'm aware that some review sites are either owned by the favored companies or are paid to tarnish the image of some scripts. If I can't get any script that will meet my needs, then I will pay an advanced coder to help me out.

    I completely agree. Add this with the not so easy template system and plugin system, I'm dumping them. So far I'm really liking BuddyPress and better yet with it being 100% free, great active community and backed by WordPress MU. You can't go wrong with that!

    I (although a developer of a dating script) will always recommend: GO CUSTOM.
    We develop abledating at http://www.abledating.net and have this site also: http://abk-experts.com/
    Here you can order a completely unique solution, not to over-saturate the web with clones of different dating software scripts.
    There is only one piece of advice one can give here: GO CUSTOM!!! Get an open source solution and change it until it is unique. Of cource it is easier to do this when you have a script with a lot of features like abledating from the beginning.

    But it can be any other software script. Skadate, Boonex, PHPFox, whatever. But make your homework, imagine what you would like your site to lool like. And answer one simple quiestion: WHY THE USER WILL USE MY SITE AND NOT ALL THE REST?

    Well yes, we need to have sales, you know, but the truth is - almost everyone comes to the mods site later to order something unique. Because you can not be competitive having a clone of an ordinary dating site. Those who do not understand this continue using a ready-made site and swear at us and our software when they see that the millions of dollars they had expected does not fall on them. They do not understand that the software itself is nothing, it is just a step, just the base for real work. Even when you have a unique site - you need to have marketing, a lot of marketing. This is not understood by everyone either.

    well from my experience with many of those scripts the best paid is social engine i been using it like since 2009 and the best option available for free is buddypress also u can try elgg
