Personally, I won't trust ebook recommendations. It was most likely paid for/affiliate.

This is also my experience, particularly when it comes to web hosting. Moreover, some ebooks contain obsolete information, or are copies of previous ebooks to which little, if anything, creative has been added.

One of the best sources of information for a new Proxy owner is this very thread, plus two or three forums.

anyway FINALLY got a reply from the host becuase I went and emailed a higher manager who made them reply :/ anyway they told me not to use everydns.net servers, which is bull becuase they worked before but whatever, I'm willing to try anything at this point..

Which host were you using? Yes the ultimate proxy guide is pretty good though I must say that most ebooks on proxies are quite outdated now. As per your qn many posts above about 11 clicks $0.40 and 27 clicks for $5+, you can't bet that every click is gonna bring you so much. You probably got a high paying click on the day you made $5+ and $0.02 clicks the other day. Aim for US, UK,Cad, Aus traffic only and you will get high paying clicks.

there is no good affiliates for proxy websites.

 

I agree, but I am happy to learn better. On the proxies I have tried Amazon Carroussels, Anonymizer, Clickbank and others products or affiliate networks with no success.

 

I plan on doing a 2.0 rewrite for the new year as to update it

 

What do you guys use to generate revenue? I had adsense on my site but a family member of mine got banned and they automatically banned my account as well due to last name maybe. I've tried adbrite and bidvertiser, but the pay was terrible. Also i'm in Canada, so yahoo publisher is not available here.

I Think that as proxy owners we have warmed to the fact that the payouts for the PPC advertising network is going to be very little, i have only made $10 this month from a site that is averaging 25-30 clicks per day from over 2,500 UV each day.

Truth of the matter is, better to become huge and sell advertising that to look to PPC i think.

Some proxy owners believe Adsense Link Units to be the most lucrative, but I have just received an information from Adsense that some earnings from content ads where errouneously attributed to Link Unit earnings.

Proxified page: Smowtion / Adbrite, about 50/50 each.

I am very happy with Smotion but for about 4 weeks Adbrite has been getting better and better. I now frequently see Adbrite outperforming Smowtion, but 6 month statistics still speak clearly for Smowtion.

No the proxy is powered from PhProxy but i have altered the original template to have my own colours in place to have the ads placed clearly.

 

yes payouts sucks now, but I use a new method to earn more from adsense!
I have the same statistics of you but I earn about 6-7$ every day now! after the christmas I write an ebook about it
