Sweet in the mix! I'm guessing that the PSA advert I saw at the top of the page was deliberate, right?

I could be wrong, but I thought you weren't allowed to have images next to ads like that unless you had a line or something dividing them.

Here's my latest attempt at blending - BizAmmo.com: How to Write a Press Release ... design is extremely basic (sorry), but it was doing $2-3 / day before I came anywhere near finishing it, and is now more like $3-5 per day and I still haven't officially "launched" it yet, until I pull my content from the old network and get press releases out (hopefully by tomorrow). :)

It's about 300-600 adsense impressions, which I suppose doesn't suck too bad for not being launched officially yet. usually anywhere from 75 to 250 uniques, but steadily increasing since announcing it at all. Not many clicks at all, but the keywords pay well. Some are low of course, but I get a good deal between $.30-$2. Not really sure what's "normal" in that sense, but I know it's higher than my other sites that have been around longer.

Not bad but you're very close or maybe even breaking the ToS as You can only label the ads as "sponsored links" or "advertisements" and you're basically calling it an webmaster article or whatever.

I would move it so it has it's own heading "Sponsors" just to be on the safe side. :)

Actually, I was just checking on that this morning. Since I'm nowhere near fully indexed in the engines (I think only my main page is in Google) I'm getting nothing from there yet. I'm currently getting about 55% between DP and Wikipedia (didn't realize posting here was so helpful before - nice to know). Another 25-30% are just from the main domain and subdomain interlinking. Others are just from random places where I happen to have a link posted in a personal profile or something. I haven't really promoted or anything yet, and won't until I make a few cosmetic changes.

I'm certainly not an adsense expert in the slightest. I just tried listening to people here about blending, and soliciting their advice... it's been the biggest help so far. I don't think about search engines when I write... not worried about keyword density and such. My main concern is making a site filled with quality resources that people will want to continually come back for, rather than getting first time visitors to click ads. I'm only getting started with any adsense focus as it is, but I don't intend for it to become huge... I have other plans for monitizing this and my other sites.

It looks like you're going more for the seo approach, and I'm sure it'll work if done right (I'm not the one to tell you about that though), but I'm also sure it'll take some time. I'm going to just make a few general suggestions for things that jumped out at me (I hope you don't mind):

    1. It might be good if you move the arrow to the next page higher. I didn't even see it right away. I get that you're probably hoping they'll click ads before going to the next page, but personally, I'm a content-first person. if the ads scream out and I don't see anywhere useful for me to go, I just leave.

    2. Try to incorporate some bold headings and such into your articles to make them more Web-reader friendly. It helps to break up the page and make things scannable. If they're browsing looking at bold headings in the content, they won't think twice when they see a bold link. Right now it screams "ADS".

    3. I must be getting really old in my young age. :p But that type looks really light to me and makes it hard for me to want to look at it. If it turns other people off too (and maybe it's just me), it might be causing them to leave before they even really look hard at the page.

    4. I'd lose the animated titles and even maybe change the color scheme to something bold and authoritative... a deep red might work, navy, dark green possibly. It's just pale now, and doesn't really say "financial site". It's one thing not to want to look like everyone else. But try to use color at least a little bit to play on people's emotions. They react to certain colors in certain ways. Pale purple doesn't make at least me personally think of a professional site, but more of a hobby site.

For general info on driving traffic, you can probably find a ton of great ideas all over this forum. Just do a search on how to promote a website or marketing a website. :)

just a heads up, but aren't we limited to 1 link unit

Yah, it looks as though there are two link units on your page, not good! Better take one down. ;)

I just saw your site and found that you have not used Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) or Large Rectangle (336x280) adsense ads on your pages. These are some of the most popular ads when it comes to CTR, clicks and conversion, and earning. :)

Please see an example here.. and on other articles sites on the internet.
