What type of CMS?

Hi, im completely ignorant when it comes to CMS

I've been building websites from scratch for about 9 years but I want something where I can set up particular pages in a website that the client can update themselves.

I don't want a CMS that builds the entire site from a template, just some way to allow clients to update pages themselves besides embed .txt files.

    What is the best route?

    thanks.

The easiest platform for a "non-tech" client to update and add to themselves is Wordpress.
With the right template/design a client can add information, pages, and place them appropriately. the back end is also very user friendly for any edits or additions.

It may take a little training to get them familiar with the back end...but it is far more user friendly than any others.

WordPress and Joomla both allow you to set 3rd party privileges.
