    I'm not looking to start up a myspace business or anything, I'm just curious as to how people are making $500+ per month on this site. The only thing I know about myspace is that you can have personal profiles and link to other people.

    The general way is to make a MySpace layout site which provides layouts, icons, images, etc. You then have a MySpace account with many friends. They will come to your site and get content and once becomming popular they will click on your ads on your site.

    Keep in mind theres thousands of these sites, im only making about ~$1 per day on good days. Then again, I am a noob, so hopefully that will grow as i learn more

    There are MySpace Train Sites which charges to be listed high on the list. I guess people do pay to becoming popular.

    There's selling bulletins.. or spamming people with your affiliates links to "free ipods" etc,etc.. which is annoying.

    It is basically a site which contains profiles of MySpace Members which welcome you to add them to your list of friends on MySpace.

    I think the other term is 'Whore Train'. An example is http://www.whoretrain.net/train/index.php which I found on Google . Some charges to be listed on this Train Site and others offer them for free.
