Well, I do not think so. Reddit is also a good bookmarking to promote your site but blog marketing has a lot moe scope to promote your site , increase backlinks, crawl rate, traffic, ranking etc.

Good article there, I started using reddit a couple weeks ago and I started getting a bunch of traffic but the past couple days I've been getting next to nothing, I love their user friendly interface though.

You need to actually be a member of Reddit to know how to use it. Unlike Digg, Reddit has many different categories, or "subreddits" which you can submit to. They are very popular ones like Gaming, Tech, Programming, etc but there are even smaller ones like Freelancing and Blogging. Submitting your articles there, assuming they are of good quality and relevant to those categories, will give you quite a few upvotes and some new traffic.

I never had much success with Reddit unfortunately! While SU, digg, twitter works ok for me.

But I think reddit is a great site though.

I'm trying out Reddit, yet to see any result yet.
Compared to stumbleupon, reddit is very easy to use.
