Squidoo

Not sure if this is the right place, but i would like to ask - Do many of you use Squidoo for article publishing? Do you gain much return traffic?

What is Squidoo?

 

I use Squidoo every now and then. However, I use EZA, GoArticles, ArticleBase and HubPages before I use Squidoo. I get a lot of good referral traffic from each of them and it helps me out in the SERPs since I put a backlink in each article.

 

Squidoo isn't really that great - it's overhyped and doesn't provide as much traffic as you'd hope. I would say don't even waste your time, but if you are interested set up a profile and lens and see how it works yourself..

 

Write good content, highly keyword optimized content, and you're going to get traffic to your squidoo page.

 

There are many other sites to increase traffic to you such as Facebook, MySpace,
Bebo, Friendster. . . I think it better Squidoo that you are trying to create.

there is a very interesting thing about squidoo, i made a lens with the same title as my blog and did not really promoted that lens just like how i promoted my blog, but in yahoo, if you type "money making online tip", my squidoo lens is on top 10, but my blog is nowhere to be found... and to add more, my blog has more contents than my squidoo lens

 

You can set up a lense on Sqidoo and publish articles on it.

 

I use squidoo but not for the amount of traffic, I use it to get backlinks because you can put a RSS feed of your blog in the lens.
Ezine, goarticles, buzzle, thefreelibrary and article dashboard give me more traffic.

 

I have started squidoo almost a year back and created 6 lens and update them regularly. I was about to loose my confidence on squidoo due to less views. But my latest lens caught fire - around 300 views a month. Got few sales also.
My analysis is - create lens on latest topic - you will get good views.

 

Work hard on a lens and it will pay off. i have a lens on vampire and surprisingly it gets 100 + views a week and made some money amazing ... i have tons more lenses similar to these which are doing quite good..

 

I only use squidoo to get backlinks and nothing else

 

In making mininets, I include squidoo lens to be one of the minisites.

Sqido is ver strict in terms of spamming and affilate marketing. Even I have come across a range of IP's that they have blocked due to spamming.
I don't think it is a good option.

 

Squidoo is very effective..i love using it very much

i've had a lens up on squidoo for about a year. this is another tool i'm not quite sure how to use. i'd rather spend my time calling other webmasters than spending a full afternoon figuring out what needs to be put there.

 

I haven't yet tried Squidoo, however it is definatly on my to do list. Hundreds and Hundreds of people here on DP use Squidoo and I have heard a lot of sucess stories. So it is definatly worth doing as a small part of promotion.
