    Hmmm... nice info...
But my question is the same with awinsjclarke.
"How do you find out if certain sites are banned from Digg?"

    A "ban" isn't always a "ban"

I don't know the current status (appears unbanned from the example given) but at one time the ban was at Shawn's request to keep the server load stable.

The digg effect is noticeable and when you have people spamming digg with links back to your already-busy-forum the extra traffic can bring down your site.

Digg probably has a good reason to ban these sites, it's also good to know that banning is implemented regardless of status and popularity.

Really? You have a famous site?

It is easy to avoid being banned... don't spam Digg. Use it carefully and all will be well.

So they have banned Squidoo, but not Hubpages? Doesn't make sense to me. Either user generated content is good....or it is bad.

Wow this is new to me, I still wonder why squidoo is being banned. If the reason is constant digging, well Google and Yahoo is being digg so well, but why they not being banned. There's a lot of questions in my mind about digg.com about that issue.

I suppose if the content sent to digg is simply spam then it's only fair the site sending the spam is banned. After all if their site (digg) became useless because a few unscrupulous users spammed the hell out of the site that would be bad for everyone and none of us would gain any benefit from such sites.

I'm also very surprised DP and WordPress were banned.

Does anyone know of a list of banned sites for digg etc. Does such a list exist?
