Lower CTR. How to improve it?

    I have this website: http://play-auto.net/
    It's a little over 2 months old.
Ok, let's talk about the figures for this months. Last month I had ~12.000 page impressions and a 0.22 CTR with the Total estimated earnings a little over 6$
Except for the top navbar I've posted ads within the posts because there are few little people that arrive on the first page. They usually find an article and go to that article, so I thought that's the best way to integrate the ads.
I have read some tips on increasing CTR, what are the highest CTR colors and so on...but with no results thus far.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Took me a while just to find the ads. Might want to have a spot on the main site for an ad block or something. Seems it will be hard for you to get clicks with the way you have it setup.

For example, I just clicked on 1 of the entries, and my browser scrolled down to where the post continues, since I hit "Read the rest of this entry", it scrolled down just enough to completely avoid the google ad.

I think you just have an ad placement issue, I'm not the best with this stuff, but just giving you my opinions.

I know the "Read More" thing isn't so good, but...as you can see in the right of the website from the Live Feed...most visitors come from search engines directly to an article. So they will see the whole article, including the top ad. I played a little with the colors and the ad dimensions/placement this week...but could not get a CTR higher than .28

Should I remove the ad from the article and post it in the right sidebar as 160x600? Even-tough I tried this alternative with no results...

If anything, if you do use the right sidebar, should probably try putting it between "Recent Posts" and "Top 3 Articles" with good blending colors. Only problem is, your site may look a bit to "We just want ad money", though putting ads in content like that really does help from what I've read, and seen.

I've added a 160x600 ad betwen Top 3 Articles and Recent Posts (moved their position)...hope it will help. Waiting the Google bot to crawl the content...

Looks good. That really should help, it blends well with the site. Looks like it's part of the site.

Think if you give it time it will end up showing some type of positive results, if not, I'm unsure what else to say.

Changed the template. What do you think now? Anything I should change on the ads for better performance?

I agree with most people here - the ads are too obvious and agressive - bad placement. Site is well designed an appealing, but the prominent ad placement shows you just want clicks... Try puting it off from your home page at least

I have changed the template. Now I think it's better and I hope it will improve the CTR. Until now it's .83...
