    I was just looking up a few things on Alexa and noticed that Digitalpoint has an interesting distribution of users.

    According to Alexa, most DP users come from India 25.5%, 23.3% from the US, 6.7% from Pakistan, 5.9% from the UK and 4.9% from Indonesia.

    Which means that about 37% come from India/ Pakistan/ Indonesia and 29% from the US / UK.

    That is a surprise to me.

    Thought I might share it with you all.

    Indians are talented and they are Spreaded across all over the world in almost all the Fields.

    Indians can Deliver a Quality results for a Cheap labour.

    Thats the reason why all MNCs are investing in India

    I was just about to make a new thread asking what country people are from because I noticed alot of people from India. I didn't think to just check alexa. Doh.

    Yeah I was going to say, people from India really seem to know how to take full advantage of the money making business over the internet. Alot of random sites from India I've been to have like thousands of people on their forums. They are holding back all the advertising secrets! lol

    If you had access to *actual* analytics, you'd see US is #1 users, Indians are #5. What Alexa tells you is that Indians have a much higher % of Alexa toolbar installations compared to other countries. :)

    Another thing I have forgotten about. It's been way to long since I've been in the webmaster game. Wow. Totally forgot alexa is huge on that toolbar thing. Used to have people on some sites I goto advertise the toolbar to get their alexa rank high by having toolbar users on their site.

    Interesting logic. You think because they have a large population, they have a large PERCENTAGE of users within their own country that install the Alexa toolbar?

    I really don't think so, I have hardly had no more than a few friends of mine using alexa toolbar, I am not sure if alexa toolbar in FF works as effectively in IE, most of the webmasters from India as far I know have switched either to FF or Opera or Safari

    Yup, almost everyone(including me) believe that Alexa ranking gives the accurate information. But its not the case... I am not surprised at US being number 1 spot here, I am rather surprised, which countries are there in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places ?? A wild guess would be UK and/or Indonesia..
