Nice to see you're back, Steve

Any chance of that £80.00 you owe me?

(The one you failed to pay 8 months ago!)

It would seem that Steve left a few of us out of pocket.

I was going to set up some sites with him, we organised that I purchased domains, designs etc, then he vanished!

What makes Great Britain so great anyway?
We beat them in a couple of wars and saved their ass in another one so it's obviously not their ability to fight.
Their empire collapsed so it can't be that.
I don't think it's for their perfect teeth.
It must be the doctor who and the new robin hood on the bbc that makes them great.
Could someone check and see if that's why it's called Great Britain instead of mediocre Britain?

At least we're intelligent enough not to shoot our own soldiers, maybe its our intelligence that we're great for?
If I remember correctly, every single friendly fire incident in Iraq and Afganistan has been due to Americans! Shame you can't differentiate between friend and foe!

    Maybe that answers your question!

Being British, i think that qualifies me to comment :)

Not sure what the two wars are there, back in the times fighting for independence?

If you mean saving us in WW2? Rather than myself telling you something i will just suggest that in Britain there are a few jokes regarding that, some may offend so best not mentioned, funny for us brits, lol

Doctor Who is fantastic since it came back, i dont watch robin hood though, gimme a sonic screwdriver over a man in tights any day, lol

Looking back in history, all empires have collapsed, the various ones that existed over thousands of years, i think it goes to show that if you try to police the world, that sooner or later people revolt and take back at least some of what could be called their own.

I think britain got its oomph from the way ourselves were invaded by the romans, german barbarians, the normans, the vikings, we are made up of warrior, traveller, i'll ave a bit of that types of people, it makes for a tough little nation.

We are also the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland, i will have to look up though why its called Great Britain, maybe to do with it being made up of 4 smaller countries, like greater as in the areas that make up the country?

Was it a third of the world that we controlled at one point? I cant remember now.

Theres still the commonwealth, australia, canada, all those little islands, god i forget how much is still part of the commonwealth.

Still amazes me how our little island nation did what it did, we do have a large population considering we are such a small country but the population would have been smaller back when we were aving it large, lol

Of course we are known for the stiff upper lip, blitz spirit, carry on in the face of.... and all that.

Wow, makes me proud to be British. :)

I'm just ribbin you crazy brits, you guys rock.
I just started watchin the first season of robbin hood on netflix and I highly recommend it, one of the best tv shows I've seen in a long time. You all gotta quit replacing doctors so soon though seriously, this new doctor looks like a pud.

Unfortunately US tv has been going downhill pretty badly since the advent of all these retarded "reality" shows. Speaking of the crazy canuks up north you should check out the trailer park boys if you've never seen them, one of the best shows ever there lol, love me some Bubbles.

Im sad to see David Tenant go, hes been my fave doc so far.

I like plenty of the US tv that we get, the UK has a lot of reality tv too, and it seems to be growing, i cant stand all that reality this and that and then the celeb versions of many of the shows.

The answer to that is simple....nothing anymore.
Our Government has put the country into massive debt.
Our Police forces have little power to do anything anymore.
We have a failing NHS, a housing shortage, a Job shortage yet we still allow thousands of newcomers to the country and give them cash, houses and free healthcare.
We join the EU, just to really mess things up even more because we dont have the guts to say"NO"

and moore, but ill stop there!

Its not that bad, our lives are still better than tens of millions of people.

The government didn't put the country into debt, certain things deliberately happen for certain reasons.

Not true, they can arrest you on a terrorist law just for being in certain places, they have more power than ever to remove you from your home or the street in the smallest of matters now.

We dont have a failing nhs, we have an nhs that fails some people.

There is not a housing shortage or a job shortage, but there is a situation deliberately painted to make it seem that way, its all been very controlled, they can make you see and find what they want you to see and find.

Yep the newomers i will agree on, see the wages need to be kept low, if legal newcomers will work for a low wage then the government can then argue the point that we all should.

They also need to increase crime, the feeling of fear and racism so they bring in all of this so that new groups are formed, the streets feel more dangerous, people are unhappy and as a result ask the goverment for help.

Perfect situation for the goverment who then do what they planned all along, increase the CCTV, bring in new security measures (to protect us) and provide the solution.

When the public complain that their freedom is further lost, the government remind us that we asked for the improvement.

Perfect outcome for the government, the public never see it coming and when they do its always too late, by which time people just accept another loss of freedom.

Order from chaos, the government way, free to do as they tell us.:)

True, but thats not an attitude that takes anyone forward.

    Urm.yes they did!!
Some things happen yes, but the recaction to what is happeening will determine the outcome, or we can be pro active to ensure we get the result we want.

With the greatest of respect you clearly do not know enough. The Police powers today are a joke, they are forced to make descisions sometimes taking into account weather they are likey to be sued or not even if the "customer" is in the wrong.Their hands are tied on so many matters now, everything is all pussyfooting around so as not to upset anyone.
Look at all the yobs around that can stand in front of a copper and hurl verbal abuse and the copper can do very little if anything , and the yobs know it. What happend to respect, gone as there is no way to earn it, I still remember getting a clip round the ear from our local bobby!

Nope...we have a failing NHS. Its run by idiots, it spends too much money in areas it shouldnt take the new computer system what a awful waste of money and it will never work, and covers healthcare when it cant afford to...thats simply failing, not enough resources.
No job shortage! What planet are you on/ How many currently unemployed.
Housing! Tell me how many in temp accomodation or no home?

Nope, keep em out. Put it like this, say we are a 100 bed hotel, its like trying to cater for 500....it cant and wont work ever. Get rid and close the damn gates!

Sometimes its not always about taking things forward, thats why people dont learn, they think that quickly moving on is the way.

I see the government in a much different way to how i saw them when i was younger.

I dont know anything, its just what i feel, i agree that the police have too much restriction in place, i agree that it prevents them from dealing with things how they could, but i feel that its quite deliberately in place so as to allow all matters to get out of hand in order to bring in a new order in the future.

We dont have a failing NHS, a personal matter within my family should by right have me agreeing with you on this matter, by right i should be hating the NHS but i have a slightly better understanding of the problems within it now, i mean better than i had in the past, not a better understanding than you or anyone else, they do fail people, but not as a whole, they have problems, but plenty of people get a good service from it too.

Im on planet earth :) Birmingham in the West Midlands to be exact, one of the hardest hit places regarding the new unemployment, more job losses and businesses closing but beneath what is reported and what has actually happend is a perfectly orchestrated and well timed situation, the jobs are in fact there but are made (for the time being) to not exist, so as to add to an already difficult situation.

Im from a very multicultural city that just got even more so, for me its never been new, the only difference now is that i now hear eastern european accents more often.

Allowing new people in is all part of the agenda, it allowed for the unemployment increase, the rise in racism etc etc, non of it by accident.

This is what im saying, in order to introduce a new solution, you must first create a problem, and this is what each and every government always has done and always will do.

Its a slow process but they are patient and it works, it works because no one sees it happening, instead the population focuses on the little details that affect their personal lives, and thats how the governments like it, keeping you distracted while they bring in new measures, new laws that they will tell you are to protect you but will ultimately enslave you.

The sad thing is that the public demand that these new things be brought in, to make life better, to make the streets safer, the people who control the country have the population conditioned to think how they want you to.

You get the news that they want you to see.

We are born into an expectation to look up to the masters, to be guided and told what to do, that way we will swallow everything and believe reports and statistics when they are provided to us.

Think, its not illegal, yet ;)

I prefer some of the gritty, colder films from the UK, like get carter and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_Sixteen_(2002_film) no happy endings in either of them.

    Dog Soldiers i really liked.
